Lange gives you the heads up on who has worn these numbers in the past, and what the players’ collegiate numbers were. Gholston wore #50 in college, but that now belongs to Eric Barton. I have to wonder if that number will be available for Gholston by next offseason … which would make me hesitant to guy a Gholston jersey straight away.
… I can’t believe that I could be donning a #81 come September, especially after the last couple of years …

It should be noted that it all started going to downhill for John Abraham in NY the second he had the cojones to switch to # 56.

If Gholston turns out to be something special, and you get a #56 Gholston jersey, and it changes after a year. It may turn into a collectors item.

The only rookies jersey I would have bought right away would have been Mcfadden’s. I will wait on gholsten and Keller til atleast after the season. I’m pretty careful with the jerseys I buy. For example; Testaverde, Keyshawn Johnson, John Abraham, Wayne Chrebet, Mo Lewis, Aaron Glenn, Darrelle Revis, Laverneous Coles, Pennington, Kerry Rhodes, Curtis Martin, Jerricho Cotchery, and Jonathon Vilma. The Martin, Vilma, Testaverde, Pennington, Chrebet, and Mo Lewis, are allauthentic and autographed (all at hofstra). With the exception of Abraham and Vilma being traded, I try to get players who will be sticking around.

What will Woodheads number be, that would be a great jersey to own. I hope this kid works out, he could be such a good story.

I hope Woodheads number is 08 if he makes the roster. The 0 would gave to be in there though, otherwise the parallel to another small town, undrafted free agent who people thought was too small (Wayne Chrebet) wouldnt work.
Wow Dustin Keller is wearing numer 81, imagine that he hasn’t even played a down yet and he’s already better then Justin McCareins.
