Amen to retiring “win-now.” And with it should go the “Chad gives us the best chance to win now” argument. This team is not about next season, it’s about taking the next step.
I am amazed that all the negative press Benson is getting and not one person has asked the questions that I have.
We are talking about a boat on the water in Texas are we not? I am sure no one thinks that the police there might take umbrage at an upitty n-word with a 30 foot speed boat. Especially with 15 people on board.
Before I rip him up I would like to know how many citatiions they give each year and how many pepper sprays and arrests and the race of those offenders. Oh, and I would like to know the race and sex of those on the boat and the type of boat (why do I expect it to be like a cigarette, fountain boat, et. al.
I could be all wet, but enquiring minds want to know.

I agree about the win now thing. Who is a better coach than Mangini? What moron wants to fire him. He isn’t perfect but hell get there. Regardless of the results of this season, i say he is back next year.
I second that Harlan.
Also, Bassett: you might want to be more careful in how you portray Benson here. The guy was in a scary situation, getting pepper sprayed and was asking his Mom nearby for help. Totally natural reaction regardless of age. If Benson was drunk, at legal fault and not cooperating with the police then he deserved the police’s harshness. But we don’t know all the facts yet.

The girl was white. Benson’s boat stopped 6 of 6 times. Dispute about his condition.
It is good to be the police.
Too bad the muck rakers at PFT don’t wash out their minds with soap before they sensationalize this crap.
