Daily Links: New Night for Jets @ Shea
Posted on May 14th, 2008 by Bassett
- For those who were rained out on Jets night at Shea, the event was rescheduled.
- Danny Woodhead is going into the (Nebraska) Hall of Fame.
- The Jets are getting an over/under of 6.5 wins out in Nevada.
- Toni M. over on Fifth Down pulls together a great summation of the whole Spygate thing based on what occurred yesterday. Peter King’s section noted is dead on.
- Clayton runs down five things that we have learned of the whole dust up.
- Heimerdinger seems excited to get McCareins back. I’d reserve judgement until he’s alone in the end zone.
- RB Kevin Jones visited the Patriots this week.
- Victor Hobson talks with the Boston Globe’s Mike Reiss about his old team, and his new team.

On the basis of the thread the other day, virtually everyone that reads this site would take the over.
Note re: Jets night at Shea. You can now buy tickets to the meet and greet for $20. This differs from the initial promotion, because it was going to be Jets season ticket holders only.
To book tickets, go to Mets.com and open the Mets schedule, navigate to July and click on the T for July 8th. You will then get a menu of tickets available, which has the extra option of adding the Jets night tickets.
I think you can even book tickets for the meet and greet without going to the game.
For all the grief Dinger caused here, it is poetic justice that he is high on Macariens. This punch line will be precious.

With regard to the oddsmakers and the Jets being 9 point underdofs:
If we defeat the phins soundly, which we should, the line will cut in half. I think the consensus feeling is that the Jets have made some serious improvements.
Not that I agree with it ramble, but based on the fact that we are 9 point dogs at home, and 14 point dogs in NE, and that the over for NE is 13.5 and the over for the Jets is 6.5, it would seem the consensus in the bookmaking community is that the Jets may have made some strides, but until proven otherwise NE is an unstoppable juggenaut.
Sec, I hear ya.
Nothing changes perceptions like winning, and the Jets better do it about 10 or 11 times this year.
HEY WOODY…..
MOVE THE JETS BACK TO NYC!!!!
