No Films for Rhodes Just Film Rooms

Rhodes, who has taken a shine to his Hollywood nickname has kept it strictly business this offseason, not taking much time out to pursue some of his other notable interests, like acting.
“The biggest thing is, I want to let everyone know I’m really focused coming into this year. It’s a big year for us; we want to bounce back. With one of our leaders being gone – (Jonathan) Vilma – I want to step up and concentrate all my time on football, make sure everything is right for the team and make sure these guys follow me.”
And rightly so. The Jets have paid him well, so there’s no need to supplement his income for any reason at this point. I won’t mind if he takes some time in the future offseasons to do things like that, but Rhodes is smart and knows what’s at stake this season. This has been the biggest offseason in terms of changes the organization has seen in some time, so Rhodes’ staying focused and showing other guys what it takes to get paid is a good thing.
If you’ll remember, when I spoke to Rhodes last offseason, one of things he noted was that Mangini wanted him to take on more of a leadership role and it’s something he’s clearly willing to do.
