DSmizzle, if I had to choose between keeping Revis or Harris I would choose Revis without hesitation. As much as I love Harris, it is much easier to find a great tackling MLB than it is to find a shutdown corner. There are no more than 10 cbs in the NFL who can do what Revis does, meanwhile almost every team in the NFL has a David Harris type player. How many have a Darrelle Revis?

I think b/c a true shut-down corner doesn’t put up stats, especially when the rest of the team’s CB’s are turds, like the JETS. If he is shutting guys down, he isn’t making plays (well, in reality, he is doing so silently, like an offensive lineman).

An MLB is going to get his tackles.

I love David Harris as much as all of you, but I find it interesting that so many Jet fans have named him the MVP. While Harris did put up astounding tackling numbers, he also played on a defense that was on the field for the majority of the game. The NFL always has young LBs on bad teams put up huge numbers in their rookie seasons (jonathon Vilma, Patrick Willis, Jon Beason, David Harris). While I do think Harris will be a stud, I cant help but wonder why I am the only one who feels Darrelle Revis was BY FAR the most impressive player on the team. He consistently shut down top WRs week in and week out, while only allowing 2 TDs all season! We all know how tough it is for rookies to come in and play, but cornerback is known as the toughest position for a rookie to play other than QB. With that said, why does Revis get out shadowed by Harris? Just my thoughts, but im interested in hearing what all of you think. In my mind Revis is already a top 5 cb, and I think he will become the new Champ Bailey of the NFL.

Face it Baker fans. Tannenbaum can care less about Chris Baker. With all the talent the Jets have added this offseason caring about a TE who bad mouths you in the media over a play call is stupid. The best play the guy ever had didn’t count.
