2007 Season Highlights
For as bad a taste as many of us have when it comes to the 2007 season, I wanted to go back and take a look at some of the clips from the season. So here’s a link to all of last season’s highlights from NFL.com.
UPDATE: These now go straight to the highlights, rather than all the clips from the games … apologies, NFL.com doesn’t exactly work like YouTube when going from clip to clip.
Week 1 NE (38) @ NYJ (14)
Week 2 NYJ (13) @ BAL (20)
Week 3 MIA (28) @ NYJ (31)
Week 4 NYJ (14) @ BUF (17)
Week 5 NYJ (24) @ NYG (35)
Week 6 PHI (16) @ NYJ (9)
Week 7 NYJ(31) @ CIN (38)
Week 8 BUF (13) @ NYJ (3)
Week 9 WAS (23) @ NYJ (20)
Week 11 PIT (16) @ NYJ (19)
Week 12 NYJ (3) @ DAL (34)
Week 13 NYJ (40) @ MIA (13)
Week 14 CLE (24) @ NYJ (18)
Week 15 NYJ (10) @ NE (20)
Week 16 NYJ (6) @ TEN (10)
Week 17 KC (10) @ NYJ (13)
I know we might not think that there were many highlights, but watching these clips shows me the promise of this coming season, when it comes to addressing four areas:
- Offensive Line Upgrade
- Bolstering Running Game
- Defensive Run Stopping
- Pressuring the QB
I can’t wait for the season to start …

If you look at the season past, you know we lost some a bunch of games because of the very issues your highlighting, so let all the “experts” say what they want, this years team is light years better and we will make the playoffs. If your a totally objective individual you could look at these games and say “heck they could have won most of them”. Were there blowouts, yes, but those were the exception, heck, let the team lose by 20-25 pts. you get no argument from me, but to lose week in and week out by 7 points or less, and to have had control over those games, THAT, makes me ill.
Dallas and NE 1st game were the only blowouts. Dallas was just a sick game and that really sucked but at least Thanksgiving dinner was good. That was a rough seasons… Kottite esque.
Thanks Bassett, That must have took some time to make this post. I thought they were our season highlights… oops! I was wrong! Game highlights… I get it now.
soooooooo many of these games could have been won with us having:
1) a defense that can stop the run and OCCASIONALY rush the qb
2)An O-line that can keep our qb from getting his ribs broken on the first play
3) a wide reciever (or TE) with good hands thats tallet than 6′2″
Re: NYJ-13 vs BAL-20.
I’ll say it again, had McDrops made that catch the whole season could have been different. It would have given the organization confidence in KC. ESPN would have been showing that highlight the month of September. Had that catch been made it could have been the rallying point for the rest of the season.
Yep…and McCareins would have been a big hero and this year we’d all be pinning our hopes on him to perform well. As we subsequently found out, he sucks, so we are glad to be rid of him. Also, nobody would be underrating us this season if they’d won that one and gone on to have a decent year. Therefore, in the long run, it will prove to be a positive that he dropped that pass.
McCareins had 2 drops that game. Hey if we won that game we most likely wouldn’t have got Gholston. So maybe a silver lining?
Thanks Bassett I needed a Jets fix.
Bottom line for this season, if all the new players gel and we get a quarterback to step up and clearly win the competition, this season has potential to extend into the playoffs.
I’m rolloing my change and storing it for my PSL!!
You’re right NFL.com doesn’t work like youtube. When I try to play the clips the screen just goes grey.
It probably is an Adobe Flash problem. Try updating it by searching for Adobe Flash.
watch the baltimore game and look how KELLEN moved the ball! If it wasnt for MCCARELESS dropping a WIDE OPEN TOUCHDOWN PASS and then deflecting the ball in the endzone for the game ending int. Thank GOD he’s gone!
Bent,
I don’t know, are you suggesting that it’s better to have a bad season so that we are not overrated the following year? Maybe if McCariens had made that catch, it would have turned things around for him too. You have to admit that a big part of the pro game is having confidence in ones self.
me too Bassett, met too
Ramble, you’re right of course. I was just messing around, trying to find the silver lining.
