Peter K. went out to watch the Jets practice yesterday and gives us a good sense of how practice went. It looks like the Jets were having a lot of fun out there on Thursday, especially the defense. The D linemen were all dancing during warm ups and fooling around with the music, they were just having a lot of fun and that’s good too see.
QBs: Chad did not look very good today, he was waiting too long in the pocket and didn’t have much zip on his passes, he threw a pick too and a few in the ground. Clemens looked a lot better, he did wait a little too long in the pocket and make some bad throws but have a few long throws to cotchery and Wright that had plenty of zip on them. Ratcliff continues to have a great training camp and ainge was solid as well.
WR/TE: The receivers were all very good on Thursday, catching almost anything. I was impressed by Stuckey who made a few leaping catches and I think Cotchery is going to have a big year this year. Baker was practicing with the first team which is good and he looked happy Bubba can really catch the ball too. Dustin Keller is going to be a superstar if he plays in games like how he does in practice. Coles dropped the only pass thrown to him.
O-Line / D-Line: The O line looks like its coming together, the left side is great, D’Brick has gotten a lot bigger and Faneca is a pure Guard and Mangold did a solid job, the right side was not as great. During the 11 vs. 11 the o line got manhandled by the DE and Jenkins, as they seemed to be in the backfield almost every play. If there was tackling the QB there would have been almost 6 sacks, Pace looks like the real deal, Gholston is coming along and Jenkins is causing havoc in the middle
Secondary / RB: Leon and Jones each had a few long runs and Caulcrick was a bull when he got the rock. Revis is an elite corner as he broke up every pass to him, I still think the second corner spot is up for grabs, Hollywood got fooled on a juke by Leon but besides that he continues his Pro Bowl pursuit.

Thanks for the report. It’s nice to get a “good” report on Kellen. Hope we shore up that right side of the line.

D. Greene,
The Jets site has a list of “Jets-friendly” bars across the country. I believe it is under the fanzone tab.

D. Greene,
Yes…on the JETS website, click the FANZONE tab, then click the OUT OF TOWN FANS tab, then pick VA from the dropdown box where it states, SHOW ME JETS FRIENDLY BARS.
Hope this helps.
