Woody ‘Looking Forward’ To Brett As a Jet
The Jets made it official announcement last night via email at 12:36AM … three minutes after I went to bed.
Here’s what owner Woody Johnson said in the press release.
“I am looking forward to seeing Brett Favre in a New York Jets uniform,” said Jets Chairman & CEO Woody Johnson. “He represents a significant addition to this franchise, and reflects our commitment to putting the best possible product on the field. Mike Tannenbaum and his football administration staff did a great job of navigating this complex process. I am excited about welcoming Brett, Deanna and their family to the Jets organization.”

Man! I’m looking foward to seeing Favre in a Jets uniform too, thats a no brainer. I still think pennington was a quality player, as long as he’s healthy, but Favre is a definate upgrade. Sorry to state the obvious. A conditional 4th rounder is a great deal, hopefully he will stick around for more than this year.
