Dustin Keller Gets a Present From Favre

Dustin Keller talked to the press about the touchdown ball that Favre gave him.  A first in Jets green for the both of them.

“It was really special during the game after I got the touchdown, I wasn’t even thinking about it. I flipped the ball to the ref and came to the sideline. (Favre) said, ‘Hey, what are you doing? Why didn’t you keep that ball? I went to our equipment guys and asked, ‘Can you get that ball? Favre is probably going to want it.’ Favre came to me later in the game, and said, ‘I was going to let you have the ball but I think I am going to keep that one.’ I said, “Okay, that’s cool. I will keep the next one.’ Then as soon as we get into the locker room,  I got a ball that says “Congrats Dustin on your first touchdown”  and he signed it for me. It’s really cool. It’s something that I can keep forever.”

Let’s hope that these two will be hooking up for touchdowns a lot this season ..

    man that was just outright classy of both guys because dustin wanted favre to have the ball because of his first TD in a jet uniform and favre did something very awesome i hope there more TD’s b/w these 2 guys i think there will be

    True. The Jets and Favre looked good. However, the season hasn’t started yet and Brett has not changed any plays at the line. when this happens Callahan will go ballastic. He doesn’t like it when folks stray from “his” play book.

    Best part of the Favre TD was Brick and Fanaca completely destroying J Talyor. Fanaca is such an animal it’s not even funny……Mangold and Brick are going to dominate with this guy next to them
