I’m a huge VG supporter, definitely not saying he is a bust, but theres definitely a possibility that he could be. I am just saying, from his progess that he is making, he could end up being like Mario Williams.

I just had high hopes for the guy, knowing he doesnt have a long history in football pads, I’m afraid his development may take longer, the 2 preseason games so far, he hasnt shown any sign of POWER over any offensive lineman… but who knows

How can VG be a bust when the regular season hasn’t started yet? Remember when people were saying Mario Williams was a bust his first two years? It takes time to transition from college to the pros. Plus VG’s basically learning a new position? He’ll be fine.

I like the guys character from what we know of him, but the guy does not play with tenacity… hopefully it is because he is trying to learn the system. Tangini’s first 1st round bust? lets hope not….

I’ve been reading some people, already wondering if VG is a bust. Pretty amazing, since he’s learning a new position, and either missed, or was late for everything.
The key to me, in listening to VG, is that he’s an intelligent kid.
So, once he’s able to meld the intelligence, with his obvious physical skills, he’ll be fine. Right now, I suspect he’s like Linda Blair in *The Exorcist* – - his head spinning…

VG seems like a nice guy. i hope he continues to learn the system and plays like a 6th pick.

i think Miami’s Long will have a long year. i hope chad doesn’t get killed like when bruce smith knocked out boomer. my first and last game i saw at orchard park.

It’d be nice to see him give Long and Henne some de ja vu as he pushes past the line to land a crushing sack. Anyone see the Miami-Jacksonville game highlights? It looked like Long completely missed his block on Spicer allowing a sack. Long might have some way to go– let’s break that confidence for years to come!

VG has a lot on his plate, he’s making the transition from college to the pros, and learning a new position in a new defensive scheme. It’ll take some time.
