David Ball may not be the fastest guy on the field or sell the most sneakers or he may not sell rap songs but he has better hands and runs better routes than any of those flash-in-the-pan so-called receivers you guys rave about.

greenblood- hope u are right about Henry! I am dying for Henry to come up big so we can finally have a good tall reciever for our QB to throw to for years to come!

Also- what is up with Coles? Is he ever going to be healthy to play in a preseason game? He needs to stay healthy unless we will really be hurting at WR.

Pat D - you get my vote for finding the thousand pound gorilla on the team. This slash nonsense has never worked, not even with Kordell Stewart or Randle El. Smith is just another Scott Frost waiting to (not) happen....

pat d - right on brother.
Basset, why in the world you keep talking about this Brad Smith guy as if he is something. Sinking in with the O ?!? Guy is horrible, show me his stats, his highlight because I know he has no highlights, anything except Redskins preseason game from 2 years ago that guarantees us he will be anything.
1.LC
2.J.Cotch
3.Clowney (if healthy)
4.M. Henry (I will bet you all $ to a donut he will be awesome)
5. C.Stuckey
6. for special team purposes B.Smith or Walace Wright

I really feel the team is missing that pure speed deep threat- that's what Clowney is best at! We need him, but if he is going to be out for most of the season, then u must put him on the IR or PUP list. If he is expected to be back shortly after our bye week, game 5 or 6 then we should keep him.

I'm not sold on B. Smith, but he is great on special teams, and is our tallest reciever at 6'2" besides marcus henry at 6'4". I feel that our WR lack height, and it is always good to have tall recievers. Look at what Buress did for the Steelers a few years ago and for the giants the last couple of years. So many times, the the QB tosses the ball up and he comes down with them due to his height. I would love to see Henry do that for us in the future. He played well for us the other night, especially on the last drive and couldnt believe that fade in the end zone went to D. Ball and not Henry. Stuckey is clearly the guy for the Slot!

I feel D. Ball is definitely the odd man out. Think they should carry Henry and work on developing him more! We need that tall WR for the future! Not sold on Smith, but like his decent height, good on special teams; and Wright good on special teams, but should we carry both of these guys - smith and wright - mainly for special teams?

I think it will work like this :
1.Coles
2.Cotchery
3.Smith
4.Stuckey
5.Wallace I really would like them to find a way of keeping Henry I think he has potential he has good hands and the scout treport says he's not scared to go into TRAFFIC. plus he's 6'4 how long have we been crying about getting a BIG receiver i think we have decent depth to let him develop kinda like how we got Ratliff doing who seems to be grasping it

Kewpie to Pat D. You be right!

1. Wallace Wright has to make this team for his special team play. I have come to terms with the fact that he will never be a decent WR. So what. He is a special teams demon and every team needs one.

2. Clowney is the first WR with any specialness in a long time. Cotchery is a player but he will always be a #2 kind of guy. Clowney if he continues to grow can catch both the long and short ball. Unless he is out for more than six regular season games, we should carry him. He is the first guy that might improve things if Cotch or Coles go down with any kind of injury. That is amazing.

3. I hope the coaches don't have any agenda for the other WR. We clearly keep Coles and Cotch. Wallace and Clowney make four. That leaves David Ball, Marcus Henry, Chansi Stuckey and Brad Smith fighting for two spots. Paul Raymond dropped his chance with his last attempt on Saturday. With Wallace playing specials and Clowney being the deep threat, we should pick the two of these four with the most potential as a WR. We don't need a slash who will just take plays away from Favre. So unless Smith is ready to be a solid WR able to steal plays from Coles and Cotch right now, in his third year, cut his a--.

I thought there were 2 PUP lists. One is for before camp starts, where a player can be activated at any time during preseason; and one for the regular season where a player must be added to by time of the 65 man cutdown. Once added to this one, he must stay inactive until week 6. Does anyone know if this is true or not? Can't find the rule anywhere.
