Jets Waive Safety Nate Lyles
Tannenbaum has announced that the Jets have waived DB Nate Lyles. This is the second time that Lyles has been waived by the team. Although he has the brain and eagerness to play the game and is extremely coachable, there’s some reason he’s having trouble putting it together to stick with the team.
Lyles (6-0/199/UVA), was a three-year starter at cornerback for Virginia, finished with 160 tackles and four interceptions. He had 68 tackles as a senior. He originally signed as a rookie free agent with the Jets on May 2, was waived on July 22 and re-signed on July 31.

yeah, just sitting here watching the giants/browns preseason game and on the browns first drive PHIL DAWSON boots a 56 (thats right,FIFTY-SIX) yard field goal with probably 3 yards to spare. this headline shoulda read JETS WAIVE MIKE NUGENT…lol
With the way the Giants played last night, we ae gonna have our hands full on Saturday. It should be a real test for our O-line
Osi hurt Derek Anderson too…
im scared for FAVRE…can he wear a RED jersey in that game!? this WILL be a GOOD TEST for our o-line alright. remember what happened to CHAD the last time we played the giants in preseason….hope it doesnt come down to a field goal…lol
Saturday night will be a good test for the JETS “O” and “D” lines. However, I am not afraid of playing the Giants. I am looking forward to Brett tearing apart their weak secondary. And seeing Jones and Washington breaking some long runs. Speaking of weak secondaries, how about those invincible Patsies!!!
What Peter King doesn’t understand is that the JETS are lucky to have 10,000 at their preseason games. So 40,000 is a significant increase.
Also Peter King and his assine ideas are one of the reasons I don’t subscribe to SI anymore. If you really don’t like him, send SI a cancellation notice and tell them Peter King is the reason.
The Giants will be a good test for the JETS “O” line. But the Giants are not a team to be feared.
We just have to hope the Giants defense does not stay on the field for 2 to 3 quarters or offense will crushed
the giants arent a team to be “feared”. remember the ELEVEN SACK game vs philly, cocussion to derek anderson, breaking CHADS wrist/hand,absolutely crushing tom brady in the superbowl?? yeah, your right, thats not a team to be feared/respected.throw the MADDEN CURS* in there and YES,they are to be feared!
