Tom Brady to be Ready for Season Opener

Tom Brady this morning told Boston sports radio WEEI this morning that he expects to play for the season opener.

“I wish I could have shown more in the preseason, but it’s going to have to wait, hopefully Thursday night [in the preseason finale against the Giants], then we’ll see what happens when we play KC,” Brady said.

Brady has battled aches & pains for a few years now during camp, and this seems like a coach who is trying to protect one of his most valuable assets from unecessary overfatigue.  Although there’s been a lot of speculation on whether he’ll be ready or not for the season, it’s just that … speculation.

  1. I noticed that there are no longer discussions on the Jets website about PSL’s. The information is right around the corner. I would be so pumped for this season if I didnt have to have this constantly on my mind…

  2. I for oe hope his foot falsl off and he can never play again!

  3. Of course he is ready. Remember how Randy was a questionmark to be ready last season. Preseason is bunk. Players play. He is a player. Just happens to suck.

  7. It appears we will be able to rush the passer so maybe we can put this guy on his ass once in awhile this year. God I hate that guy!!

  8. KC will be like a preseason game for the Pats. He could sleepwalk through that win. Game two will be his wakeup call!
