  1. who do we have left on the offensive line…it seems they cut them all…

  2. For those who predicted 4 QBs on the roster: congratulations! What are the odds Matt Chatham gets picked up by New England?

  3. when will the depth chart be known? like whos the 3rd or 4th wr and starting cbs

  4. jesse chatman was on steriods OMG , i still dont know why they got rid of poteat and also Jehuu Caulcrick will be sent to the squad and he will most lily be a starter after rishardson retires

i think posiak will be put in the squad he played to well to just get rid of

  5. Dakar, looks like it’s: Ferguson, Faneca, Mangold, Moore, Woody, Turner, Hunter, and Montgomery.

  6. Even though Cimini shot the KC to Minny deal down, the fact they kept all four QB’s tells me there could still be some kind of trade brewing.

  7. doc

during the final game on thursday tannie hinted at having 4 QBs…i think the jets will keep KC this year just in case favre retires after this season…then there will be another compitetion between KC ratty and ainge…but then again…who knows with tangini…

  9. Maybe they decided that there will be a couple of OLs that they can pick up off waivers (i.e. vets better than the projects they cut)

  10. doc

thanks for the update on the o-line…well it looks like were gonna be looking for depth on the o-line…not that that wasn’t obvious…i wonder if there have been any good o-linemen cut today…

  11. i knew my boy henry wasn’t going no where.

  12. hoz

im glad to…the kid catches everything with his hands…and has the ideal size we’ve been looking for for years…also glad they kept murrell spencer and cummings…

  13. i would rather they cut wright and kept caulcrick…becuz ahmad carrol seemed to be doing a good job as a gunner on special teams and wasn’t to bad running it either…also carrol is a better safty than wallace is a reciever…while caulcrick on the otherhand can be TRs understudy for a year or maybe 2…just my thoughts…

  14. Wright excels at what he does though. I’m not surprised they kept him. Hopefull, he’ll force some fumbles this year. Having said that, he could be cut if they add another player!

  15. We may see an old friend invited soon. Victor Hobson got cut from the patriots.

  16. claus

i dont think so…then again…who knows…but im happy with our LBs right now…

  17. Oh i was thinking he’d be invited to a cup of coffee, maybe even signed, pumped for information about the patriots, and then released (if signed)…

  18. One more cut I would like to see is KC. Then go after Chris Simms.

  19. What happened to Danny Woodhead?

  20. The jacob bender project is over

  21. Well, they could put him on the practice squad, drose, but you’re probably right.

RJ: Woodhead got injured very early on in camp. He cleared waivers, so the Jets were able to put him on IR. He cannot play this year, but the plan is to bring him back in 2009.

Pat: If I were Simms, I’d say no thanks to a contract with the Jets. With Favre’s record, he is unlikely to get to play, especially as without learning the offense he might not even be the number two. He’d be better off waiting for someone desperate to call when they have lost their starter to injury. (New England hopefully).

I’m worried about our WR depth. It has been reported that the Jets have 8 WRs on the team, if you consider Keller to be a receiver. However, Keller is a TE, Stuckey is a CB, Smith is a QB, Wright is a gunner and Clowney and Coles have been injured. We only have two healthy wideouts!

Of course I am kidding. It’s great to have so many versatile players.

  22. Doesn’t cutting Chapman leave the Jets a bit thin at RB. Not like they can run the ball much anyway, but still….

  23. I ok with Barrett playing in the Dime. We always cut Poteat but he stays around untill we need him anyway. Caulcrick needs a year on the practice squad as does Raymond. Pociask is the only cut I didnt care for but he’s just a depth victim and that dropped pass last week was a bad pass to begin with.

Anyone feeling like Ratliff should get a shot at the #1 spot next year?

  24. Ainge or Clemens must go. 4 QB’s crazy.

  25. As I have said before this FO is consisted not of builders but gamblers!
If Richardson-who is old-goes down we have no run-blocking game from the FB posistion.
If Chris Baker goes down we have no blocking TE.

    Posciack was a stupid cut.

This is a team which will have no running game. It will be Favre throws right, Favre throws left with the occasional bomb and interception.

  26. did caulcrick make the practice team? i thought he was impressive during pre-season and would have made the final roster. He showed good hands and also blocked pretty well

  27. The Jets will not go into the season with 4 QBs.The Jets can’t let Ainge go. They just drafted him. The Jets know what they have in KC and it ain’t much. The Jets are probably looking to see what they can get for him. It won’t be much because the other teams know what we have too.

The problem with letting go of KC is that the Jets will have two backups at QB that have never started a game. But what we have now at backup is two QBs that have never started and one that was the worst starter in football last year. Not that much better of an option.

Put Ainge on the practice squad or IR. Cut KC. Go after one of the availablr QBs. Culpepper, Simms or Harington. Isn’t Brooks whats his name available.

  28. I agree with Pat D. Get Simms.
