(Probably Bogus) Rumor: Brady to Miss Two to Four Games
There is a (probably bogus) rumor all over the internet that Tom Brady is set to miss two to four games this season (remember they play the Jets in week two). Here’s the original source
This just in.
We’ve received news from a reliable news source, that would like to remain anonymous (initials E.B. who is a writer for the _______ News), that Tom Brady will likely be missing between two and four weeks of the regular season.
Note that they didn’t say which weeks he would miss. Is this anything more than a guess? Interesting that this rumor (which deadspin called a “rumour” – can’t they spell or something?) should come out on the eve of many fantasy football drafts scheduled to be taking place on labor day. Hmmm.
Did I mention that I think this rumor might be bogus? Let’s hope I’m wrong.
If you want some real news, I’ll pass on that the Jets will be announcing their practice squad tomorrow, one day after most teams.

i wish this was true but , belicheck will play this guy even if brady had aids , but imagine what it would to our chances of winning if he was out
I just read Brady looked healthy at practice Aug. 31. Iread this on NFL.COM while updating fantasy football.
is this the same fool who also got my hopes up with the clemens to vikings? bollinger and clemens are from the same cloth when it comes to qbs (1 game wonders ) make you belive than smack you in your teeth (think about it) give me somthing positve about clemens beside a 2nd rounder and a half a year exp why do so many thinks he a starter. no disrespect but over the rat i think not TRADE OR OUT RIGHT RELEASE HIM he will never do well in the nfl one reason most linemen are 6′4 or better you all seen the bated balls all preseason hell he hit one of our own linemen so with that said…….. im done venting now i just dont get it
We want NE with Brady!!!! A win without him is not a win!!!
a win is a win but I agree I want it with Tom Brady. If we can’t beat the Pats with Brady we aren’t going anywhere anyways.
kixworld
I agree. I think the Jets want to see what they can get for KC. What I expect is that they will not get any offers and they will just cut him.
I won’t believe this until it actually happens. I would rather beat the Pats with Brady. Although that doesn’t mean he can’t miss a game or two, which allows them to maybe lose one or two more.
hanger u are right i win against NE withour brady means nothing but i rather have a win that means nothing than have a loss , if you guys have forgotten this guy is undeafted in the meadowlands , but he aint gonna miss the game , we all know that
In fact, good sir, “rumour” is a valid spelling variation. It’s just that the addition of the “u” is usually only characteristic of British English. Bloody hell!
EastSide: You do know I’m English, right? I was poking fun at myself with that comment!
pat…would be pretty embarassing to cut our 2nd round pick QB from just 2 years ago…that THIS regime freaking drafted.
It would be great to cut KC because this would mean we got rid of CP and KC and addressed our needs instead of being loyal to a fault as in years past.
haha my bad, I didn’t know that. makes sense now though.
Kelecko, What would look more foolish cutting a 2nd pick in 2 years or drafting a kicker in the 2nd?
Let’s look foolish then.
This is what I read on NFL.com

Brady, Tom QB NE
News: Tom Brady was back at practice with the Patriots on Sunday, reports the team’s official website. Brady took part in passing drills with the other quarterbacks and showed no signs of being hindered by his recent foot injury.
This reminds me of last year when there were internet rumors about the Pats cutting Moss right around fantasy draft time.
Klecko, the Pats just cut their 2nd round pick from 2006, WR Chad Jackson. Even the best teams get draft picks wrong. The difference is, when they do get it wrong, they admit it and cut their losses.
I don’t think Clemens would be cut because he has value as a proven QB. I know his stats weren’t great but he didn’t “fail” in the NFL and I’d rather have him currently than David Carr during his first few seasons.
It’s not an exact science but one thing for sure is that another team may want or need a proven QB at some time and you don’t just get rid of that.
I still think he is the second string QB on this team and will believe that until proven wrong.
KC is anything but a proven QB. There are many better than him that are available.
I would rather have Chris Simms. Cut KC and go after one of the available QBs.
Roger Vick
Good point. If the Pats can cut their 2nd round pick then why can’t we.
As great as it would be to see Brady out there is no way he is missing a game.
You have gotta believe that with the way Ratliff has come on he is the real project for the future when Farve is gone.
i want brady starting week two i dont want any exuses
