This was ten times funnier that it should have been due to the fact that Crutch and Crotch can have the same meaning here in England. So, I read that initially as him having a camera stuffed down his pants and I was envisionaging Westy thrusting his groinal regions towards various parts of the Fins practice field.

I only realised at the end (when he lowered what I was thinking of as his “crotch”) that you were actually on about one of his crutches.

I don’t know why, but I’m getting visions of Westhoff going in there with a camera rigged up in his crutch, sort of like Leslie Nielsen in “The Naked Gun” and trying to not-so-obviously take photos while talking to the coaches.

Westhoff: “So, this is your new kicker, is it?” [points crutch, everyone hears loud click]

Parcells: “Wait! What was that noise?”

Westhoff: [pointing crutch at different part of field, clicking another photo] “What noise?”

Parcells: “That one. There it is again!”

Westhoff: [looking around, pointing crutch in random directions when Parcells isn't looking and snapping away] “No … still didn’t hear anything.”

Parcells: “Surely, you can hear that snapping noise!”

Westhoff: [lowering crutch and smiling to self] “No, I can’t. And stop calling me Shirley.”

I think its more than just “an interesting tidbit.” Imagine if the shoes were on the other feet. I’m sure many Jets fans would be livid. Personally, I’m happy we have the advantage.

It feels good to hear a story about us getting over on another divison rival……Funny that Parcells would let Westhoff in the gate knowing how close he was to the Jets and the staff. In the long run it means very little. We have to tackle Ted Ginn and they have to tackle Leon
