We had this stupid TE whos' name escapes me who was telling the Denver palyers before the game that he would be the target in the red zone. The field announcer would call out "GUESS WHO?" every time middle linebacker Wahoo McDaniel made a tackle. And the crowd would respond "WAHOO". I wish the team had never left Shea. I wish they would be looking at a new park next to Citi Field. Half the true Jet fans did not follow to the Meadowlands and lots more, including me, will not follow to PSLand. I also really enjoyed the '06 opener, Mangini's first game -- coming off 4-12, I remember being pleasantly surprised at the shifty new offense and the life the team showed in beating Tennesse, and actually feeling good about the team. Turned out to be a great season. I know there have been plenty of seasons where the team started slow and came back through the year, but usually you can get somewhat of a sense of what's to come from the opening day performance.
