Just some notes on how to get to the stadium this weekend if you don’t have the prepaid parking passes.
Mass Transit Options — Port Authority buses are no longer running. Use the Penn Station and connecting buses from the Secaucus Junction. It will costthe same ($10) as the former Port Authority bus system.
Satellite Parking — Looks to be just like last year. Follow the map from the link to the offsite parking.

I haven’t taken the trip yet, but you take the bus from Penn Station to Secaucus and then board a bus for the Meadowlands. I would assume that the bus drops you off in the same spot as before in the Meadowlands. I would think that the trip home will be much more convenient as we will no longer hit tunnel traffic.

Hey I just got tickets to the Dec 28th game vs the Dolphins. Never been to a game before – can anyone give me a rundown of what to expect? I’ll be driving in (from Westchester) most likely.
Thanks

TheGreenCastle, congrats on the ducats!
Expect traffic, and lots of it, and if your tickets didn’t come with a parking pass get on over to stubhub or ticketcity and get one, or else you can expect to park in a satellite lot with no tailgaiting allowed which includes an inconvenient ride on a bus over to the stadium. Enjoy.

I always found the bus to be so convenient. I didn’t realize that they were abandoning the whole former system.
I hope the new system is an improvement. Of course, with the PSL’s, I won’t be going to too many more Jets games.

Basset – I’m coming from below it, but I may go that route anyway to avoid the cross bronx and the GW.
sec108 – I had no idea about the lack of tailgating in the satellite lot. I think I’ll be headed back to stubhub to drop some more coin on a pass. Thanks for the heads up!

Bassett –> two Ts – my bad.

Has anyone done this new Penn Station ride? Where does it drop you off at the stadium? Is it more inconvienant/same/better?
