Thats very profound and sweet of you Danny Boy. Now take a brief moment and read this. For your information I am not an MD just an MSW counselor for abused children. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/18/sports/football/18coles.htm

Perhaps if your father raped you repeatedly as did Coles you would be better able to grasp the horrible pain child molesters inflict on their innocent prey.

Perhaps you should take your own advice talk less and think more. We all want our team to do great things, but some of us understand that there is more to life then football.

lol hahaha, wow i didn't know my comments would draw so much attention. I realize that he and coles had a deep relationship more than what we can understand, but you have to move on with your life. chad is happy in Miami and looks like he is moving on, i feel that coles should do the same. Im not saying he should have the same relationship that coles shared with pennington, but not make these distractions about how he has no chemistry with favre he should do what he did earlier this year not say anything.

I don't feel like being a psychitrist over hear(jetchick;MD) and analyzing why he had such a chemistry and why he is the way he is. Im a fan for a reason. I want my team to win! with all said an done thats what we all want, thats why I feel if hes got nothing nice to say don't say it at all!!!

and the rest of you that can take every thread to a hate Coles agenda.

Who cares what he says. It is what he does, and having missed the pre season, and having little or no time to develop chemistry with Favre...well just what did you expect in the first game. If Coles comes on and plays well as the season progresses will you then shut up and stop the Coles bashing?
Better yet will you have the courage to admit you were wrong.

I posted this earlier to help some of you better understand why LC has a somewhat different outlook on friendship and loyalty. I suggest you Coles haters read it and then try to imagine how it might have effected you to have gone through what he has endured.

I have for some time now attempted to explain some of Cole’s behavior off the field, and always believed his on field performance spoke clearly as to who he is, and what he means to our team.

I agonized about sharing this with some of you built in the Johnny Styne hate mentality, but feel it necessary to share this with the rest of you.

I do not offer this as any excuse, but rather as a way to better understand LC and why having Chad leave might have a different effect on him then on any of us.

I ask that you read this and reconsider some of the harsh things said about LC for the past several months.

I say to Cole’s your friend Chad is now and will forever be your friend. Long after you both retire that friendship will live on.

Now, read it and weep.

Can't get rid of Coles unfortunately, his contract is guaranteed, will be a tremendous cap hit, about 6 mil, I think.

dan,
if you had a pair of your own you wouldn't be talking about his. for whatever coles says, he has consistently proven to be a tough player who delivers on the field. i agree that if he doesn't come around soon, there is enough young talent behind him as to make him tradeable. and, too, that he's whining and being overly dramatic. but there's a body of evidence documenting his toughness. there's none for you.
