Can We Please Run a Slant?
It worked in Green Bay……….
I said it before Jenkins = Love we have no d-line without him
J-Co seems to get open, why not everyone else?
THIS IS NOT FUN
The spread looks good. Leon would be very good in the backfield running the draw.
Nice to see Baker involved.
Ray Lucas can stop calling him Chansi Stuckey in the mud
I like the kick. Wallace Wright you’re one of my favorite players on the Jets, but you gotta get that ball on the first kick.
Brick got served.
Let’s see some defense!
Now is a good time for another D-Linemen to step up and take on the challenge of being an NT.
Can someone please get some pressure on the QB?
Say goodnight gracie!
I want to see some spread offense with Leon in the backfield. Throw quick short passes and use Leon for sprints, draws and the pitch to the outside. That could be interesting. The Pats did it with Brady, why can’t we do it with Favre?

I worked in Green Bay 12 years ago…..now it works only in your fantasy football.
IF YOUR NOT SURE, DONT THROW IT!!!! wow, this is pathetic
how about the 3rd down defense, that might be the biggest embarresment in a long list of tonights embarrasments
our blitz’s suck
Lowery and Revis are amazing but yeah without Kris Jenkins not only is our run-d a complete joke but we can’t afford to try and blitz the outside bc then the middle is too wide open. Favre looks absolutely horrible on any throw longer than 10 yards. Damnit. This is very deflating.
SLANT TO STUCKEY!!!!!
dude shotty is totally reading this in the booth ;-)
I officially hate Bob Sutton, easily one of the worst defensive coordinators in the league. Why are we the only team in the nfl without a blitz??? Can we get someone to rush the QB?? On another note, how bad is the officiating, its like they refuse to give a call against SD.
-Please run a slant.
-Coles has to practice with Favre. He cant catch the Brett Favre Fastball.
-Get the ball to playmakers like Stockey and Washington. If you didn’t learn from last week don’t put Washington into to block. Give him the ball in space.
-Why was Ghoulston drafted for? 1st tackle in the 3rd game?
I am so sick of having higher expectations for this pathetic team. I have been a true and loyal fan for the past 22 years and it’s been filled with nothing but fustration and disappointment. Once again we don’t show up in primetime, and are a true embarrassment to the millions of viewers…I’m fustrated and a pissed off Jet’s fan…So much for the 136+ millions Woody opened his wallet for….mo’ money, same result….utterly pathetic!!!
When you GM for football operations is an accountant…it speaks volumes for the organization.
Miami gets Parcells and we get Tanny?
Johnny Styne:
The Jets just benched Farve !!!!!
Where was this officiating in the first half, they finally took the effing flag out of their pocket.
i can say one thing the arizona game is a must win i repeat a must win , if they dont then we should get worried
Mangini is on the hot seat now. He has to answer for the onside kick. He has to answer for 1-2 and a very questionable coaching staff. Favre is limping. Jenkins is hurt and without him the defense is garbage, let’s just pray that he is going to make a quick recovery. Obviously the Arizona Cardinals game is a must win for any realistic chance at a playoff run.
Mangini looks like he just lost his puppy. Can somebody give this man a hug or something?
He still has 13 games to turn this thing around. I’d be more amazed if he can change his dreary demeanor.
Note to Mangini… you aint foolin no one. Your body language stinks!
Another Jets loss and Nikolas is the first to gloat.
The defense definitely took a step back. Losing Jenkins was a big blow but the D shouldn’t crumble without any one player. No matter how big. The pass rush was a step too slow all game. Chambers alone down the middle was inexcusable. Lowery looked brilliant on a couple of plays but also got burned. Barrett looks pretty good at safety, better than Eric Smith who fell down on the TD to the RB. The D better bounce back quickly.
The only silver lining in this black cloud is that, due to being behind, Favre got a lot of work in the passing game, spreading the ball around and finding some rhythm. The Cromartie INT on LC was freakish, pure hustle and a bit of luck. The O should be able to build on the experience. It’s unfortunate that what should have been accomplished in the OTA’s and training camp is happening in the third game of the season. It could come together over the next few games but the D will have to play better to keep them afloat till it does.
Biggest turning point was the first onside kick, very unnecessary,
our d and o lines were getting pushed back the whole game not good,
other things did look promising and i do have alot of confidence this team will turn it around call me crazy but we should be getting better each week,
everyone expected us to be 1-2 at this point but we should have beaten the patsies
this lose was not nearly as deflating as the pats b/c we should have won that game
Philip Rivers did a number on us today he had some very impressive throws,
Favre needs to get more in sync with the recievers, I thought our recievers played great tonite tho
just get us in the playoffs and anything can happen!
thats about as optimistic a loser i can be now lets spank some cardinals
everyone relax were throwing the towl in early … Before the season started getting to the bye 2-2 with a stretch of mostly bad teams following the bye leaves us in a good position to make a run. The longer farve is here the better he will get. Remember he is still learning but now next week is huge ….. Atleast we will see if this team has any heart so freak out next week if we lose . we lost to good team tonite
A lot of posters keep saying, “Well, I didn’t expect to be better than 2-2,” preseason BBF (Before Brett Favre), implying ARI and CIN, OAK, KC and STL are automatic wins and the Jets we’ll be 5-2 before BUF. The way the team is gelling under the coaching, we could be 2-5 (we better beat KC).
Simple logic on the onsides kick:
If you recover it, your on ur own 40…and if you get 7 pts on the drive, hardly a sure thing…u are up 21-17 mid 2nd quarter.
Not exactly a game changing play then.
If you dont recover it, you hand them your 40…a short field for the 2nd time in the game at that pt…and u risk going down 10 on the road in the 2nd qtr of a game u lead by 7 after 5 minutes.
SO…the risk….far outweighed the reward in that situation.
Its also a play u do if u are down 21-10 at that pt and need a spark, and u are a HUGE underdog in the game….aka “arent supposed to win”.
Our D was pretty wesk…losing jenkins seemed to be a bigger factor then one would think…
Oh and where was the flag on the coles pass / pick for TD…..those losers usually call any contact on recievers.
Must win next week….simple. 2-2 at the bye is fine with me as long as we look better doing it.
they swallowed their whistles on the horse collar tackle too.
I liked the onside kick early in the game. I don’t care what you people say.
VB…. it gave the charger the 44 yard line, the 2nd short field of the game for them at that point…. and it put us down 10 on the road after we answered their interception return for td with the kickoff then the short TD to cut it to 17-14….
getting the ball back on the onsides…..wasnt worth that risk.
Electric Ham, I have to disagree with you with the comment about our lines. When Jenkins was in, the DLine got great pressure, especially up the middle. And the penetration of the OL came in off the sides most of the game and Favre often stepped into it when he could have stepped to the other side or forward to elude the rush. Favre had time, he just misread the routes and made ill advised throws into coverage all game long. He keeps missing wide open receivers and throws into double and sometimes triple coverage in the process. The run blocking was good too early on, but that stupid onside kick put us in a position where we had to throw. Jones was finding seams to run, but being behind we had to throw.
And why did we not run the 2 point conversion from the 1/4 yard line? Even a QB sneak would have pushed it through.
And what was Feely thinking runing into the kick?
Lots of questions over the last 2 games (three if you count the prevent defense in the Miami game) and I don’t think we will like the answers.
there was alot wrong breat the D the coachs all bad,im a long time jet fan and i wish it was the year!(1998) but its not we can blam ever one, if the jets do not responed where in for a long year .NEW coach new qb new ever thing.Tonite on sny i saw a real fan a PLAYER HIS NAME IS RAY FROM JERRSY.In 1999 he tryed 2 bring the team to a super bowl .farve talked about being a team.I saw more from ray (lucks)THEN farve, all im saying is if we lrt the cards s— on use where in trouble p.s where is #77 dont be a old jet #(his on the falkins) lol jim in longisland E.I
