In reading all the comments (except the extreme Mangini/Pennington haters) for the last 7-8 months, and yours are one of the better , impartial ones, I saw that you touched on several issues on why the Jets appear dysfuntional today. Withou getting psychoanalytical about it the simplest way I can answer your question is this way:

Look back to training camp when the team and all the new players were energized and groups were hanging out together, studying in each others homes,
practicing and watching film after hours every player, NOT JUST THE QB’s,were pompeting, and on and on and on. Remember the electricity, the hopes, the ferver that the players (and the fans) felt? Well Najy, thats called “team building” or chemistry.

Now imagine all of a sudden out of nowhere someone drops a force and the all the hype that makes him bigger than you, bigger than the team hell bigger than the city, what do you think would happen to that chemistry that was fragile but building?
And additionally the force demands new plays, pages ripped out of the playbook(some players call it the bible) different music during camp, etc. What do you think that would do to your chemistry.
I’m also sure some players resent the fact that he openly said he din’t want to play for the Jets.

Najy, Forget Farve, remember that we were all hoping and pulling for a winning season and the playoffs out of camp. I for one predicted that the Jets would go 10-6 and the team would get close to our sack record. I also said that Farve would give us 1 at most 2 additional wins this year. On that one I think I will be wrong but we will still win 10 games and still make the play offs.
What i regret the most is WE LOST A YEARS WORTH OF TEAM BULDING and that really, really hurts.

I am looking at the broader picture. I dont want to pick at 1 position and dwell…. But after 3 years in this regime, why are we in this situation?

Correct me if I am wrong, but after 3 years under Tangini, the team still has no identity and after MNF, they look like we are heading in the wrong direction.

Again, I am not dwelling on any 1 position because the team is composed of more than 1 player. Just think broader picture and how this organization has not produced under Mangini. I dont care whose fault it is but who usually takes the blame in this situation?

I wll give you one more reason why and you are soo wrong:

During monday nights commentary, someone commented , and I’m quoting Farve, that during that week was ” THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE HE HAD BROUGHT THE PLAYBOOK HOME” That, to me shows what a friggin genius this man is.

In contrast, and again I am quoting, “Penningto took the playbook with him on the plane on his flight down to Miami” What a dummy eh?

Why do you think the difference in team performances against the same opponent? Or is it now that Miami has a better team than the Jets. Don’t answer that, I know the standard head in the sand response : Better RB, better CS, Better everything BUT NEVER a better QB for their respective teams, PERIOD !!

See pat, your comment is a perfect example of why it’s dumb to ask the Farve koolaide drinkers to see the real cause of the Jets biggest problem. I could stay here and give ten solid reasons why you are dead wrong but you only need to read ALL, not some, but the comments of ALL the Dolphin Players and see how their offense played the Pats with what Pennington brought to that team. Sorry Pat you are dead, dead, wrong and you know it !!!!

We disn’t have chemistry at QB. We had crap. Mangini and company thought KC would win a QB competition. They were wrong.

Its one thing to draft players in the first 4 rounds of the draft but it is another thing to develop project players that contribute to the team.

Again, i think we need to start asking questions and wonder why we have nothing.

I guess we just have to wait and see if Favre can get on the same page as the team.
