Jets Resign Receivers

by Bassett on September 24th, 2008 at 3:58 pm

After some shuffling, the Jets have re-signed Wide Receivers Paul Raymond and Marcus Henry to their practice squad. To create the room, the Jets dropped TE Brad Listorti and P Waylon Prather.

Once things settle around the kickers and punters, look for Henry and Cummings to work their way back to the roster.

The future lies in big WRs.

    I’m glad Henry cleared waivers.

I think Desean Jackson disagrees with you.

    …as does Steve Smith (CAR)

Wow! Coming up with 2 names is not a strong defense. As a matter of fact, when 1 of them has only played in three professional games, it dilluted the case even more.

I am happy that they didn’t lose Henry. Maybe they can lose Brad Smith.

Brad Smith is a great athlete. Too bad he has not benefited from the stability of being developed purely as receiver for three years. Instead, he has been juggled around in and out of numerous positions/roles. So, here we are three years later with a first year WR.
