The Jets face the Raiders this weekend, and new coach, Cable Guy has learned a thing or two about his Quarterback after just a week … basically that he sucks and Lane Kiffin knew what he was doing.
“We really found out a lot about where he is,” Cable said in his weekly news conference Monday. “And it’s obvious he’s still in a stage of development. It’s obvious maybe he can’t handle that much.”
Cable instructed offensive coordinator Greg Knapp to install a game plan that involved more passing plays than that of the first four games. Russell attempted 35 passes and completed only 13.
Cable noted that eight of Russell’s incompletions came on balls that should have been caught. The downside: five of Russell’s passes sailed right into the path of Saints defenders.
Former coach Lane Kiffin resisted the urge to unleash Russell because he wasn’t convinced that Russell was ready for a starring role. Instead, he brought along Russell slowly and emphasized avoiding sacks and turnovers.
Russell’s completion percentage through five games dropped to 50 percent. Seattle’s Matt Hasselbeck (49.2 percent) and Cleveland’s Derek Anderson (49.6) are the only two starting quarterbacks with a lower figure.
The Jets are going to get a straight and steady diet of running it up the gut this weekend, so it’s time for Sutton and Mangini to see what this run defense is all about
Let’s just pray it’s not a fight to the death …
Costumes, weapons, fights to the death, cheering spectators, sure looks like a typical day in The Black Hole to me …

Well, let’s not get too cocky although the Raiders have been floundering any team can come out of their “funk” consider the Browns – Giants game… I’m only being realistic but I do feel the Jets will come out of this one victorious.
As for Al Davis and Co. Lane Kiffin, your right did know what he was doing but Al wasn’t liking the results so therfore The Cable Guy is at the helm and the losing continues, should it not be Al Davis who goes next?

game has trap all over it!!! Jenkins has been hurt and think i know that piohha cant do the job so we could be in some trouble with there steady diet f run dmc fargas and bush if jenks plays he is going to have a monster game and thes gm he was hurt again

This Oakland offense is perfect for our defense. They struggle throwing the ball and will try and run it all day. As long as our boy Jenkins can hold up its a win. I hate the West Coast trip but if we want to put our hat in the AFC ring this game is a W before we leave New Jersey.
