The key for this game (And all I suppose) is to generate a 2 score lead as early as possible. Take the crowd, run game and any enthusiasm the Raiders have out of it early on. A first half a la vs Arizona would be awesome but I'd get concerned the longer we let them hang in as in at Miami.

With Jenkins, I'm not worried about the Raiders run attack but I'd like to see the Jets force them to be one dimensional as they're vertical game is horrendous.

Pelzman should've remembered Jets have already played the Chargers and their run game is light years ahead of Oaklands. Plus they force decision with Rivers.

Jamarcus Russell is no good. Jets stuff the run and tackle well and this one shouldn't be close. But if they let Oakland hang around and McFadden/ Bush gain speed, and/or miss a tackle on a bubble screen, they could be in trouble.

Grab an early lead, stick to the basics and this should be a 27-10 Jets win.

Keep it going, we need to be 5-2 going into Buffalo.

In Pelzman's column (and just about everywhere else) it is being noted that the raider's will be a tough test for the run defense.

I haven't been following the raiders much. It would seem that their passing offense is terrible and that the thing to do would be to put 8 or 9 in the box and dare their horrible QB to beat us. Anyone know, is that how most teams are playing them?
