Injury Issues Mounting for Jets?

by Bassett on October 22nd, 2008 at 10:39 am

Surprise!  Mangini wasn’t very forthcoming about the injuries to three of his key players — Jerricho Cotchery, Damien Woody and Laveranues Coles — during today’s press conference, but he did note that for “Damien it would be a leg, Jerricho it would be a shoulder.”

Although there were reports that it was a leg injury for Jerricho, that rang hollow for me, because you could see him running off the field into the tunnel during the game.  I can’t imagine if he had a leg injury they would allow him to run.  I thought it might be a finger or hand injury, but anything I suggest is just guesswork.  With Mangini identifying it as a shoulder, it could be a pulled tricep or bicep muscle or maybe a dislocated shoulder.
