Tyson asks a question to which any fan with eyes knows the answer. The NY Jets are one of the worst coached teams in football. Just like Herm, Mangini and Company get the team to play hard. But really dumb. There is no mystery. The real team is standing up.
One could blame the OC for game plans that defy belief. Or the DC for game plans that make third stringers look like HOFs. Even Specials have helped cost us games (e.g., Leon’s fumble and the inept giving up of a punt fake).
But after year three, the HC takes 100% of the blame because he retained those Coordinators and still listens to them. Eric is a great guy who must be completely in over his head.
This team barely won in Miami (BW — before Wildcat). We threw games to inept Oakland and KC teams but thanks to Herm, the only coach much worse than Eric, we split. We lost to a Pats team with a QB who had no business beating us. And got killed by a SD team that ain’t no powerhouse.
We stink. Worse, this is the most talented team being wasted since 1999 when Parcells failure to have a reliable back up cost us a season.
Sucks to be a Jets fan. It will get worse before it gets better. If it gets better.
