Jets Sign DE Kareem Brown to Squad
Posted on November 5th, 2008 by Bassett
After cutting DE Kareem Brown over the weekend and having passed through waivers, the Jets signed Brown back to the practice squad and released TE Brad Listorti to make room for Brown.
Brown was inactive for the first seven games of the Jets 2008 season and waived on Nov. 1. In the preseason, he was fourth on the team with 12 tackles (nine solo), and recorded one sack for three yards and one pass defensed.

It is rumered that the Raiders are going to cut DeAngelo Hall today. Al Davis is looking to save some cash since his team is doing so poorly. This guy is out of control.
Could we, would we want to pick him up? It would be nice to see two pro bowl corners back there. Lowery takes the slot…perfect spot for a technique DB.
Thoughts?
Mad Dog,
There is a reason why Al Davis allowed such a cut. Anyone knows how to build a good string of cornerbacks its him (Lester hayes and Michael Haynes). He knows something and personally I know Hall has issues with his attitude because when we played him three weeks ago he was the first to get into our receivers faces and trash talk. Not a Mangini type of guy. Yes in the football sense he would be a faster corner than Lowery but he is not a shutdown corner either. I like what we have.
Bassett, You called this. We risked losing Kareem to waivers but, it worked out. He looked real good in the pre-season. Time will tell.
