Steven Jackson & Travis Minor Out for Sunday Game
Jim Haslett, Coach of the Rams has announced that one of the team’s best weapons offensively Steven Jackson won’t be able to play this weekend against the Jets because of a quadriceps injury sustained a few weeks ago.
“I guess you guys want to know about Steven. Obviously, he didn’t practice, so he won’t go this week Antonio) Pittman practiced and he’s a go.”
ALong with Jackson, Travis Minor (the team’s normal 3rd down back) will be sidelined. Antonio Pittman, Ken Darby, and Samkon Gado are all expected to play for the Rams.
Hat tip to Liam for noting this in the comments.

Well against our 4th ranked rush D it’d be pretty hard to run. The good thing is that we can focus on defending the pass which has been our achilles heel all season. With some good pressure off the edge by Pace and Thomas, and Gholston? I expect that to force Bulger into some early miscues.
GO JETS!!
Sounds like the perfect storm for a Jet blowout. Then again, I thought this before the Kansas City game as well.
What about Brian Leonard? Is he on IR or something?
yup, hes on IR with a shoulder injury
I dont care if its Jim Brown or Samkon Gado, NOBODY runs on the Jets!
This games scares me. I know it shouldn’t, but after the Raider, and KC game I can’t help but worry. I do believe this is a different team, and they realize what is at stake. BUT, I can’t help but feel nervous. Hopefully it’s a big win, and not close. A blowout victory would be a great thing for the Jets.
Lowery is going to have his hands full but I can assure you the way he has been talking lately even saying “his was his best practice week of the season” he will step up big like in Miami. This game is going to be close but I expect a similar result 23- 16 jets.
correction: this was his best practice
23-16? At home, against a team without a running game and a terrible defense? God help us if it’s that close.
Joe B:
After last Sunday’s methodical win, I believe the Jets now are getting set for the second half and are looking for ball control. They will play within their game plan and not take any chances. I look for the defense to be fantastic, and the offense to score quickly then to eat up yardage and a goog chunck of the clock. Over and under s/b 42 pts.
To be honest,
I am cautiously optimistic about this game and just about every game the Jets have ever played that I have watched…
I am not ready to say that the Jets have turned the corner and can execute on command as I understand that years of incompetence can not be overlooked by one GREAT game played by the Jets.
I do not believe the Jets will be able to eat up the clock at will but with practice and hardwork, I believe they can improve after every game.
With that said, LETS GO JETS!
I found that cautious optimism is the best way to save the walls in my home from being destroyed
i am mysteriously confident about this game
