  1. Posts on Cimini’s blog are running against his stand. And I agree with them. Law will be used sparingly and any additional D weapons would be useful against the next two opponents. He and Revis are close and that will temper his ego. Should be a safe addition.

  2. Cimini says the Law move reeks of desperation. Isn’t that what Rich said about the moves for Jenkins, Pace, Faneca, Woody and Richardson? Those moves have worked out decently.

I don’t think the Law signing is that big of a deal in a positive or negative way. I don’t think he’s going to come in and start. Mangini loves to collect DB’s to give him more options on how to deploy them. Law will help out in nickel and dime defenses at both corner and safety. And, let’s be fair, those substitution packages have been the weakness of the defense, so why not see if you can catch lightning in a bottle for a couple months with a veteran who knows the system.

As for Law hurting the chemistry, I think that’s the reason they waited to pull the trigger on the move. After the last 2 games, I think Mangini feels secure that they have the veteran leadership in place and it is rock solid enough that one guy isn’t going to mess it up.

This whole thing is much ado about nothing.

  3. The difference between ” Mangini must go “, ” The Jets will never win with this coaching staff “of three weeks ago and today is that two weeks ago in Buffalo the Jets, the whole team realized who they where and who they can be if they all played together within the game plan. They performed, manufactured, put together through their game plan the Identity developed for this team by this coaching staff during the offseason. This is NOT the same team of three weeks ago, infact it is not the same team of two weeks ago. This team is a team that is hitting it’s stride and getting better, more confident every week.

Sept. 14 in NE we lost mainly because we abused our dThis will not happen Thursdaefense ( a deffense that was learning to play together) by putting them at a complete disadvantage with horible field position most of the second half. The fact is we lost because NE scored 10 points in two drives that covered a total of 30 and 31 yards. This can not and will not happen Thursday.

The New York Jets and our D will bring pressure, pressure, pressure and payback alot of hurt. We will finally get this monkey off our back. Are you listening Brady?

  4. Correction:…..Sept. 14 with NE not in NE.

  5. Roger V–Excellent post. You summed it up very nicely. It may help and it’s not a big deal. I just don’t see how he’ll be ready on Thursday when he hasn’t played since last season.
