K-Man:

Smith already threw one pass this year and it was off the mark, which isn't much of a surprise, because although he was a QB in college, he never had a great arm. Stuckey was a high-school QB, and I doubt his arm is any worse than Smith's, so maybe if he threw one that would work better because teams will be less ready for it. The Titans might not be the team to try it on though because their corners have great recovery speed, so a deception pass that might not have much zip on it is less likely to work against them than anyone else. Side note: when did Chris Carr become a good corner and how did the Raiders not notice this?

Rudibager:

"Subway Superbowl" still works because there's a Subway in the stadium concourse. Perhaps it should just be the "Concourse Superbowl". Here's what they should do (not that I think a NY-NY SB is necessarily likely)...sell tickets to Jets and Giants fans to sit in Giants Stadium (with a side of the stadium each, so you get one half blue and one half green - and a row of security to keep them separate at each end), put two four big screens in the middle of the field so everyone can see the game and then the atmosphere would be awesome. And the winner gets to choose the official name of Slinky Stadium.

if the jets win this weekend the media will have no choice but to give them the due respect they were supposed to gain with a victory in ne, instead we got injury excuses! this is a good matchup at the right time for the green and white, a low scoring victory would not surprise me and would show the jets could win any style of game! high scoring, low scoring, this team can adapt and be victorious! have fun at the game guys!

Did you just say Subway Superbowl?
This isn't the mets and yanks, bud. It's the Giants and Jets. There aren't any subways to take to the Meadowlands.

If anything, it's the Turnpike Superbowl!

Really looking forward to this week. I'm kind of glad it's on the road. A TRUE TEST, just as NE was.

Side note - When is Brad Smith going to throw a pass off of one of those reverses the Jets run with him? I'm thinking this could be the week to do it.

just thought this was a little FUN READING/WISHING....The Giants (8-1) sit comfortably atop the NFC East, the Jets (7-3) rule the AFC East, and that success has set the city afire with talk of a Subway Super Bowl.

But the Daily News couldn't wait till February for the unprecedented meeting of the Giants and Jets for the Lombardi Trophy. So we booted up our Xbox 360 and simulated the matchup on Madden NFL 2009.

Here's a quarter-by-quarter breakdown of our simulated Subway Super Showdown:

FIRST QUARTER

Both teams trade punts for ten minutes, making us wish for some pixellated Super Bowl commercials.

Then with 4:09 left in the quarter, Eli Manning hands the Jets their first red zone opportunity.

On first-and-10 from his own 14, he fires to an open Plaxico Burress. But here comes David Harris plucking the ball from the air and returning it to the 13. Three plays later, Brett Favre finds Laveranues Coles on a slant for the first score of the game.

The Giants respond by driving to the Jet 26, only to see a frantic Manning roll out and gift-wrap another pick to Harris.

1ST QTR SCORE: JETS 7, GIANTS 0

SECOND QUARTER

The Giant defense forces a punt. Eli gets the ball back - and gives it back seconds later.

On first-and-10 from his own 20, he guns a pass to Burress, but Darrelle Revis steps in front for the interception and returns it for TD No. 2.

Minutes later, Favre returns the favor, throwing a jump ball toward Coles near the 50 that Giants safety Michael Johnson hauls in at the Jets 46.

Manning trots out, having had some talk with a virtual Kevin Gilbride about spreading the ball. He completes four passes to three receivers, finishing with a 4-yard TD toss to TE Kevin Boss.

It's the Giants' lone solid possession all half. Next time out, Manning throws - gasp! - his fourth interception. Favre, meanwhile, leads the Jets to two late field goals.

HALFTIME SCORE: JETS 20, GIANTS 7

THIRD QUARTER

The Jets smell blood. With the Giants at their own 2, a handoff to Brandon Jacobs is stuffed by Kerry Rhodes for a safety.

The rout is on. Two minutes later, Favre hooks up with Coles for a 17-yard touchdown. The Jets drive for a field goal. And another. And another.

The Giants salvage some dignity after a late punt pins the Jets at the 2, and Antonio Pierce sacks Favre for a safety on third-and-10. With 3:13 left, Jacobs hits paydirt from two yards out.

It's all for nought when Leon Washington returns the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for yet another Jets touchdown.

3RD QTR SCORE: JETS 44, GIANTS 16

FOURTH QUARTER

Favre throws a pick to Sam Madison near midfield. Manning plays catch with Jets CB Dwight Lowery, but don't blame him. Down 28, he's throwing on every play.

Bubba Franks doesn't help, capping an 88-yard Jets drive with a 3-yard TD grab three minutes in.

The Giants don't quit. With 7:18 left and at their own 45, Jacobs catches a screen pass, breaks three tackles and bolts to the end zone for a Giant TD. After a Jets three-and-out, Manning tosses a 43-yard bomb to Burress for another TD. Suddenly, Manning's thrown for 548 yards.

But there's no magic comeback this year. The run-starved Jets turn to their future Hall of Fame QB - who throws for 402 yards himself - who dinks and dunks to kill the clock. Manning gets one more possession, but on fourth-and-four from his own 7 with 2:22 left, he throws pick No. 7 to Abram Elam. Ball game.

FINAL SCORE: JETS 54, GIANTS 30

and don't forget about....

Darrell Revis vs. Justin Gage (LOL)

And Bo Scaife across the middle will do some damage. I wonder if the Titans take a page out of NEs book and goes No-Huddle on the Jets?

Well said, SackDance99 - Mawae and Haynesworth are the meanest dudes on the planet since Conrad Dobler!

Looking forward to watching the games within the game:

Kevin Mawae v. Kris Jenkins

Haynesworth vs. Mangold

Fisher vs. Mangini

Tennessee on the road makes for back-to-back battle grounds and another awesome test for our climbing Jets.

Rest. Prepare. War!

I think the turning point of this season was the 4th and 1 stop in Buffalo. Since that point we have looked like a totaly different team. The season does not rest on us beating tennesse although it would help. If we want this team to do damage in the playoffs we have to win our last 5, If not its going to be much of the same in the playoffs
