roof, lets also not forget that casserly made what is arguably the BEST draft day move in the history of the nfl draft (or any other draft): trading the 5th pick in the 1999 draft (ricky williams) to the saints for the 12th pick in that draft (champ bailey) and the rest of the saints pick in the 1999 draft and their first and third round pick in the 2000 draft.

Cherbookei, I’m a long distance runner (just short of 25K miles life to date) so I know a little bit about recovering from lower body injuries. The groin injury is very difficult to recover from, anti inflammatory meds and REST is just about all you can do. Unfortunately you start to feel better, think you can come back and start running again and you end up back where you started from, hurt and needing more rest. Let’s hope it’s a minor strain.

I’m not a doctor and we don’t really know what’s his injury is but when I heard groin a few weeks back I said to my friends, this could be a long recovery.

THis will be a real test for the defense. They haven’t faced a RB tandem like Johnson and White yet. I think they are up for it but they most seal the corners off or Johnson will hurt them. Nobody has been able to run outside on the Jets yet but Johnson’s speed is dangerous.

Okay, I think the sample size is large enough to really analyze this team. The weakness is secondary recievers– who are covered by LB’s, safetys and nickle backs.

How is this problem aleviated? Stronger safety play (Law as a hybrid safety?). I don’t see a need for another stout DB with the sucess the team has had vs. the run, they are almost better served with 3 cb’s and one safety.

Is it possible the Jets are choosing to get beat by those players? Take away the run, take away the big play in the passing game, and let teams move b/w the 20’s with those secondary recievers?

Basset, whats the word on Harris?
Having him back would be clutch on coverage out of the backfield.
As I said Sunday night… I think that we match-up quite well against these guys. We have an excellent chance of making a SERIOUS statement on Sunday.

Schottty has attacked the Titans very well the last 2 years. Both LC and J-CO have had big games. The crossing patterns are what hurt the Titans and LC has had some big plays. They must attack this team maybe even no huddle to start out.
