Players of the Week
Mangini announced his players of the week today from last week’s win over New England.
Offense (Nick Mangold): Mangold helped pave the way on the interior of the line for a big day for Thomas Jones.
Defense (Darrelle Revis): Revis lined up all over the field, taking on Randy Moss and Wes Welker mostly in coverage. Although he only had two tackles and no passes defensed or interceptions, his presence kept Matt Cassel hesitant in throwing towards whatever receiver he was covering.
Special Teams (Brad Smith): Smith contributed in getting downfield in coverage very well, fielded a kick return and had 2 total tackles on specials.
Practice Player (Jehuu Caulcrick)
Also, Leon Washington was named the Special Teams player of the week.

jehuu is clearly our future fb after richardson
We need to clone Revis!
I’m a little disappointed that Brett did not get it for offense. The way he led the two last Jets drives was masterful. Maybe Mangini figures that Brett gets enough attention and I could live with that.
Mangold has a huge game this week with Haynesworth, he needs the extra nudge on the shoulder from Mangini.
Well Mangold practices against jenkins 1-1 most of the time. So he has some experience agaisnt a great DT. Hopefully he can hold his own on Sunday
I want to see Jehuu Caulcrick on offense! I want to see him run over defenders.
