Franks... Nugent... Pretty easy cuts. Elam, Wright, Murrell will take vet minimum . Mosely and Barton will be the tough choices. They will probably let Spencer walk and cut Kassell. They always cut Poteat and who knows about law. Carroll and Richardson... I have no clue.

Lazily cutting and pasting from another comment I made:

"Clemens will be in a contract year next year.

Ratliff, on the other hand is on a one-year futures contract, so they need to sign him to a new deal after the season or he will hit the open market. Clowney is the same.

In fact, there are a bunch of guys contributing this season that they will have to decide whether to resign. (Elam, Wright, Spencer, Barton, Nugent, Franks, Mosely, Carroll, Richardson, Murrell, Poteat, Law). I think that’s the list…"

The idea that we might get Asomugha is bordering on absurd and I'm not sure where it has come from. The Jets have many of their contract based on incentives, so their success this year would indicate many of these incentives are being met. The team already had to backload contracts such as Kerry Rhodes and Kenyon Coleman just to get Favre's salary to fit under the cap and next year, if Favre returns, his salary will be $1m higher (and if he doesn't they will have to pay for a replacement somehow. Asomugha will probably get somewhere in the region of a $100m deal, so there is absolutely no chance the Jets will be able to get him. In fact, they're unlikely to have much money to spend at all unless they don't resign any of their free agents (of which there are a lot), in which case the cash will be needed to replace those guys.

Fonz: Why are you picking on Rhodes (who, as I already pointed out to you in a previous post has really stepped up his game in terms of impact plays over this four game winning streak) and Barton (who is coming off a game where he had 17 tackles and is arguably having his most complete season as a Jet)?

JOE B-. I SEE TWO VERY GOOD CORNERS (REVIS,LAW) AND ONE GOOD CORNER. REMEMBER WE DONT GET MUCH PRESSURE ON THE QB AS IT IS. IF WE DID THEY'LL ALL BE VERY GOOD CBs.

fred's got it right, as well as others. dwight takes a beating cuz nobody's game plan includes throwing towards revis. how many passes have you seen go his way? how many picks, and defended?(revis i mean) mix lowry and law in, see who helps the most with run support. i don't care what the media says, if the jets stop the run, game over.

I have no problem here as Lowery will maintain his starting role. The thing is that Mangini brought Law in as a corner/safety which is the player who sustitutes with the starters. This is mainly because behind Rhodes and Poteat there isn't enough experience in the secondary. not to mention that Rhodes production has slacked off tremendously even to the point as I will blame YOU YES YOU "Kerry Rhodes!!!" for the troubles this secondary is having. Elam is making plays within his space, Lowery is making plays inside and outside of his space which is suppose to be YOUR JOB. Revis is shutting down his small end of the field. This game will be decided in the trenches however this game can just as easily fall on the shoulders of our pass defense which was totally exposed last week against New England. Rhodes step up man or you will have lost your chance to make it to the Pro Bowl and be respected fully amongst your peers. Eric Smith is lost so was Miller. Coleman has no chance and barrett is very limited. Law provides the cushion from a football perspective is good from a character and attitude perspective it is totally different. I think it is "disgusting" that we have another "selfish" player here. Whatever the case he needs to fall in line just like he did with the Patriots when they won their superbowls. Ty Law actually played in 2 superbowls but was a member of the three so we will see how much he has left. Mangini this sunday will use a balance between Law and Lowery so that it creates mismatches and forces the titans to play to their most explosive weapon which is Chris Johnson. This is where YOU YES YOU "ERIC "THE CAMEL" BARTON wil have to take Harris spot and play the fast guys. WHERE IS YOU KILLER MENTALITY THAT YOU HAD IN OAKLAND WHEN WE PICKED YOU UP? LETS GO!!!!

Lowery will start Law will rotate and Lowery will rotate as well.
