Final Injury Report Jets @ Titans

The Titans have one of the best secondaries in the NFL this season, but they might be without a few of their players, though not their starters. Starting CBs Cortland Finnegan and Nick Harper are both likely to play, but backups Eric King and Reynaldo Hill won’t play … so the Jets should look to take advantage of nickel corners.

Kyle Vanden Bosch is also listed as questionable and rested on Friday, but I would expect to see him suit up come Sunday.

The official injury report for Sunday’s Jets-Titans game at LP Field:

Titans: CB Eric King (forearm), CB Reynaldo Hill (hip) and DT Jason Jones (foot) are out. DE William Hayes (knee) and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (groin) are questionable. LB Keith Bulluck (chest), RB Quinton Ganther (hamstring), RB LenDale White (calf), WR Paul Williams (ankle) and DE Jevon Kease (knee) are probable.

Jets: LB David Harris (groin) and S Eric Smith (head) are out. LB Jason Trusnik (knee) and TE Bubba Franks (hip) are questionable. WR Laveranues Coles (thigh), K Mike Nugent (thigh), WR Jerricho Cotchery (shoulder), DL Shaun Ellis (shoulder), WR Brad Smith (shoulder) and LB Cody Spencer (shoulder) are probable.

  1. This could be Clowney’s week. to hook up with Brett the Jet. The defensive backfield for the Titans is hurting. Play-action the day away.

  2. Nick Harper was doubtful yesterday. Now he’s not even listed on the injury report? What’s with that? I heard Fisher on Sirius NFL radio yesterday, saying he was a gametime decision. Is there some gamesmanship going on?

  3. Just as an FYI, the Titans put King and Hill on IR.

To replace them, Tuff Harris was activated from the practice squad and veteran CB Tyrone Poole was signed:

  4. “RELEASE THE CLOWNS!”

    1. we have great pass protection
    2. weather will be perfect for an air attack
    3. the are now without their #3 and #4 CB
    4. replacements are not even close- A. one is old and rusty (two years on Law) B. the other is a career Practice Squad Professional and C. Chris Carr has very little experience in coverage

Look for play-action pass to a streaking a Clowney, Stuckey, or Smith.

  5. Nugent is probable.
