On whether he thought about how much he played in his first game back at New England…

I try not to think about it too much, but my body reminds me that I did play a little more than expected. That’s why I came here. I came here to play so I’m not going to complain when they give me opportunities. I’m going to take advantage of them. I’m not going to make excuses if things don’t go my way. I asked to be in this position. I chose to come back and play football, so I’m going to play catch-up and pick up as much as I can.

On his role this weekend …

I’ll play whatever role they ask me to play. It’s not that big of a deal starting now or starting next week. At some point, hopefully, I’ll be in there. I don’t look at it as anything different than me being out there playing. I’ve been a starter for 14 years.

On how he feels about Coach Mangini saying that he feels comfortable with him starting…

He’s the head coach, so if he feels comfortable that’s a compliment. I’m a role player, so even if I did start I’m quite sure that they are going to relieve me at times so I can catch up and get my legs under me. I’m just happy to be here. If I’m starting, I’m starting. If not, I’ll be ready when they tell me to go.

i’m glad law is here but i did not think that lowery was doing that bad of a job…i guess i was wrong

It’s not that Lowery was doing bad, it’s that now that Revis has earned the Shutdown role, people kept on abusing Lowery and that’s too much for a rookie, so maybe Law can come in and balance it out a bit and give Lowery something to watch

having Law is a huge positive for us….just imagine in a week or two when he’s in better gane shape…and lowery in the nickel and or at safety….our secondary is now vastly improved
