There is no way the Pats are franchising Cassell. With a $10MM franchise tag it would mean $20MM+ tied up in the QB position. 2. Cassell is in his fourth year in the same system. Personally, Clemens seems to be less intriguing to me- we know what he can do and we know what to expect. And who knows about Body-Builder/IR QB Erik Ainge. Ratliff became popular with his strong preseason. Next training camp it should be a good battle if Clemens (in his contract year) loses I believe he will be traded to a QB needy team.
