Kris Jenkins should be the MVP of the NFL. He dominates. The End.

  1. can we please stop jinxing the entire season. it’s only week 13. STOP IT ALREADY!!!
LET’S COME OUT SUNDAY AND BEAT DENVER.
I remember in 1986. On the back page of the daily news it said, “JETS BEST.” they didn’t win another game the rest of the regulars season. so much can go wrong. so cut it out, and let the chips fall where they may. thanks. alex

  2. Considering we just ran all over the Titans and Haynesworth and shut down thier great running game Big Jenks clearly takes the lead for defensive MVP. Look at the run stats against us this year compared to the last 2 years? It’s like a 80yrd a game difference!! Thats just insane.

  3. Dude. we jets fans have alot to be happy about right now. there’s nothing wrong with riding this wave while it lasts, hopefully to tampa :)

  4. A ton of football left (8 or 9 games if you’re optimistic). Jenkins is simply a beast and absolutely our team MVP so far. This defense continues to get better every week and as long as he is healthy, I personally think we can dominate. It’s a great wake up call to the coaching staff concerning the 3-4 defense. You CANNOT run it without a studly nose tackle.

  5. its pretty HARD to ARGUE with.

  6. he does DOMINATE.

  7. i’m just glad that all the offseason moves that were made have really come to fruition in most ways. we got knocked for it then, but look at us now. no matter what the rest of the season holds, no one can knock those decisions. no jenksing it yet, but i can see us sweeping the rest of the season.

  8. Let’s just get past Denver first, OK? And pray that Big Jinx keeps that back of his in good shape. All it takes is one dirty block from those Bronco ba$tards and our run defense goes to he11.

  9. AGREED!!! NO ARGUMENT HERE!!!

  10. I don’t see what people see, Haynesworth got ran over badly, although he has more sacks but the jets have more and you know what, every sack the jets have it all belongs to Jenkins, because it was all because of that guy who demands the double team, haynesworth doesn’t demand the double team, if he did he wouldn’t have so many sacks

  11. Denver has too many weapons out

  12. I agree, or at least MVP of the team, he single handedly stops the run - god bless Big Jenks (otherwise known as Jenkies).

  13. Jenkins had a highlight reel, after the first quarter of the Titan game. He gets my vote. He probably gets Kevin Mawae’s vote, as well.

    Stay healthy, big guy!

  14. If team MVP went to Leon I wouldn’t be mad. The nose is much more difficult to dominate than at DT. Haynesworth is an amazing talent but he can’t line up at nose for a season and do what Jenkins does. Nobody can!

  15. BTW… Beautiful article Drose! Short but sweet. I admit I got a little weepy twoards the end.

  16. i would say this is a lock but he’s not the only one making a difference. Leon’s ability to turn a game upside down, tony richardson paving the way for any runner to have a 1,000 yard season, tj’s resurgance, shaun ellis sealing the end, rhodes and revis stopping the pass have all had equal impact on this amazing run. So while he’s stopped the run for us, we wouldn’t be able to survive with any aspect of the offense we had last year. Oh yea, and that guy favre’s kinda helped our passing game

  17. This is what Favre is going to do to the Broncos on Sunday

  18. he would be the heaviest mvp.

  19. i doubt it….. hes the best player on our team hands down, but when you look at his competition, haynesworth, brees, and other its a long shot

  20. It’d be pretty hard to justify giving the MVP to Haynesworth over Kris after last Sunday..

  21. sexiest man alive. I want to have his babies.

  22. pathetic post. is this website a legitimate hub for all things jets? or the home page for Jerome on WFAN.

My expectations are for some substance whenever I visit the jets blog. not one line throw away articles.

  23. d -

    Please lighten the hell up.

    Thank you.

  24. Wow …were you alone on Thanksgiving D?? To 2nd Joe B……Lighten the hell up!!

  25. Hey D,

Why don’t you add some substance, instead of garbage.

  26. thinking about this again today…. i think a problem the jets and the fans have is not trusting the team. getting worried that this is too good to be true. we have an excellent team with some of the best players in the league in many of the respective positions. why shouldn’t we go all the way, and why shouldn’t we talk about it??? plus we don’t seem to employ players that might accidentally shoot themselves in the leg. we have an upright crew and it’s what i also like about the jets. they all seem to be good people.

  27. okay, one more thing…. what player carries a gun to a club and then accidentally shoots himself in the leg??? how do you do that?

  28. He’s the man ……………… I just came back from from a house party and the boyzz talked sports. We spoke about Number 77. He’s the man. The best pickup of 2008-09.

  29. If you really remember 1986, you’ll remember that our best LB Mehl, our top defensive players Gastineau and Klecko, and our best OL were all lost for the season at this point. If the Jets lost Pace, Jenkins, Revis and Woody for the season, there would not be all this talk. This is nothing like 1986 at all.

  30. Plaxico = Chedder Bob

  31. If only we could get Sione Pouha that big.
