Well he does admit the coaching was bad!!!!!
he seemed pretty pissed in that news confrence.. that about as close as youll get to… ” they are who we thought they were” from eric mangini..
non-scientific observation of the day: have you ever noticed that when assistant coach’s are elevated to head coach it seems that their area of expertise becomes (or continues to be) the weakest area on the team and they are considered succesful coaches in spite of it:
Mangini: defensive backfield (this season)
Billick: Passing offense (every season)
Dungy: Run stopping (although better the past couple of years)
Marvin Lewis: Anything defense related (first few seasons when they were a good team)
dungy should read defensive backfield and really is not the best example since his Ds in tampa were solid, but hopefully you get the point
This is why the Giants are considered contenders and The Jets are pretenders, I hope that game justified The Giants being called the bigger brother, but atleast the Pats lost, but there is no way we can get that bye , because I seriously don’t think the Steelers are going to lose and Titans are already a lock for home field advantage, So the road to the SB got a lot harder, but I’m not sure we can even make the playoffs, going west that east that west that east,, don’t be surprised if we lose 2 of those games
I am really getting tired of being out coached. This was another statement game and the JETS coaching staff took a pass. No pass rush, stupid plays on Offense. I hope Woody is watching the games and not his PSL sales. It almost always happens when the JETS are favorites.
editor, it’s not that big a deal to be outcoached by shanahan. as far as game planning and in game coaching goes, he is one of top two or three in the league. (his talent evaluating skills are an entirely different matter.).
Ever notice how Chris Baker is hardly involved anymore? Has Mangini totally forgotten what made 2006 great???? Loft the ball to Robert Turner or Wayne Hunter at some point……..I just wanna see that,
C’mon cage – don’t put the Steelers in the Super Bowl yet. Do you realize they have DAL, BAL & TEN in their next 3? I can’t see them working through that minefield unscathed – given a questionable running game and awful pass protection. This thing ain’t over yet.
Fonzie is right !!!! Our biggest problem to date is our secondary and Rhodes is the biggest culprit. Reviewed the first half of the Broncos game and Rohdes looks worst than Gohlston. He appears to be 5 yards short and a day late on 90% of the plays. Elam totally outplayed him Sunday. What a disgrace!! If he doesn’t step up and backs up his display of disgust the Jets will continue to be abused against the pass and will not go anywhere in the playoffs.
Path to Super love was never smooth.
This is a bad attitude to have for the jets now!!!! COME ON!!! LETS GO!!!! LETS GO!!!!
LETS GET OVER IT AND CORRECT OUR MISTAKES!!!
THIS LOSS CANNOT BE LINGERING THIS WEEK!!! WE NEED TO MOVE ON AND BELIEVE THAT NOW!!! YES NOW IS THE TIME TO START WINNING AGAIN!!!!
Liam,
Stick to watching Mystery, his bud Matador and his token white ho on the Pickup Artist instead of the NFL.
Mangini: never a defensive anything. He was a defensive coordinator for Bill Belichick. That’s like being a caddy for Phil Mickelson..
Billick: He didn’t exactly have Chris Carter and Randy Moss in Baltimore.
Dungy: Try building a stellar defense when most of your money goes to Peyton, Marvin and Dallas.
Marvin Lewis: Wow, with Marvin Lewis and Tony Dungy you just singled out two black head coaches. Why not include Herm Edwards, Lovie Smith and Romeo Crennel as well since their defenses haven’t lived up to expectations.
I’m surprised you didn’t add ROCKSTARS like Wade Phillips who’s defense is pedestrian and Norv Turner who’s offense is inconsistent.

I have a question for Rich Cimni of the NY Daily News.
You said Mangini despite the loss did not admit a mistake.
I dont understand are you saying that Mangini wont admit a mistake because it is in his interests not to label the wrongs of last sunday’s game (pointing out players specifically on certain plays) or are you saying Mangini himself will not admit his mistake for allowing the team to underperform so much?
I think you Rich are crazy. Mangini admitted he needs to analyze himself and that is what he has said to you New york beat reporters about how the players and coaches must analyze themselves whenever losses like these come up. You Rich just want fires to come up. The players admitted they made a mistakes throughout the game.
No wonder no one respects you Rich!!!!
