Get Jets to Hawaii!!

by Bassett on December 3rd, 2008 at 7:10 pm

This is the last week for them to get fan votes, so …

VOTE JETS TO PRO BOWL! MANY, MANY TIMES!!

As noted on Tim Graham’s excellent AFC East Blog, it seems that Phins fans are stuffing the ballot box when it comes to their … kicker? He’s not been the only beneficiary … Jake Long, Ronnie Brown and others are leading the fan ballots.

Here are the Jets in the top five.

Quarterback
1. Brett Favre, Jets (665,524 votes)

Bretty doesn’t need your votes as others do.

Running Back
5. Thomas Jones, Jets (205,185)

First time in the top five this year, Jones has played well but remains well down the list.

Fullback
2. Tony Richardson, Jets (121,427)

Richardon needs 20,000 votes to surpass leader Le’Ron McClain.

Center
3. Nick Mangold, Jets (161,356)

Mangold doesn’t stand much chance unless he gets a tsunami of votes.

Guard
1. Alan Faneca, Jets (266,112)

Faneca has this one locked up.

Tackle
2. D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Jets (156,628)

Matt Light is 25,000 votes behind Brick. Make sure that doesn’t change.

Defensive tackle
2. Kris Jenkins, Jets (139,195)

Jenkins might very well get his due, but keep him in the top two.

Free Safety
4. Kerry Rhodes, Jets (56,397)

Rhodes might be able to vault some spots with a push of votes.

Kick Returner
2. Leon Washington, Jets (84,992)

Get Leon in there like swimwear!!

VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Favre and Faneca will definately be in.

    T. Jones, K. Jenkins, D. Revis, L. Washington and N. Mangold are way behind even though they are deserving.

Revis? I also think its funny Keller isn’t even on the voting list.

It’s really a shame that Darrelle isn’t getting the recognition he deserves.

People outside NYC must not realize that this team was 4-12 last year. It isn’t just Favre & Jenkins (though they’re deserving), but its Revis who is an absolute stud and what about Keller, who is probably the most dangerous tight-end in the league now. The other one that jumps out at me besides Jones is Leon….does any team in the league really want to match up against him? He should get the nod.

  5. avatar John says:

The good news is that John Lynch won’t take Kerry’s spot based only on name recognition this year.

The top 2 get in dont they

It’s actually ridiculous that T. Jones is not at least in the top two. He’s the only running back in the AFC with over 1000 yards and is tied for 2nd in the AFC with 11 TD’s. Lets get him in there!

The fact that Ronnie Brown has nearly 200K votes more then Jones is stupid. Jones is playing as one of the best in the league, nevermind the afc. This guy deserves to go. Revis has been a shutdown corner all year long. Name recognition is going a long long way this year. I think Favre should go too, thriving under a new system isnt easy at all. But to say hes in 1st is a little crazy. I never watch the pro bowl, but if 4-5 jets make it in, ill be watching.
