Friend of the blog and photog extraordinaire Alex from the crew of LOLA New York was at the Jets game this weekend kept his streak alive for this season.
Alex has one more game to attend this year out west, but he’s having his doubts …
A 2 day tailgate leaves me lying on a couch, splitting headache, hundreds of miles from home, ugh. The atmosphere was great, Candlestick is a throwback stadium, built in the 60′s, you can still tailgate right on the side of the stadium, no club sections, no opulence, just football. The fans were softer than terry clothe, sipping their wine, ripe for the picking. I finally thought I would be able to taste the victory that has eluded me no matter how many miles I travel (roughly 7500 miles but who’s counting). Nope, the …curse lives on.
Is it wrong for me to go to the Seattle game?
No Alex, not wrong at all … I know I don’t blame you. I blame the Jets reading their own press clippings.

Professional pictures, Alex! Pretty much a day in the life. I got to high five the dude in the Namath uniform!
I know the LA Jets fans and SF Jets fans got together to post a a tailgaiting album on facebook if anyone wants to see the Jets turnout.

Alex, love the pics. It’s good to see the Jet faithful in enemy terrritory. But if there is one favor I ask, PLEASE DON’T GO TO THE SEATTLE GAME!

If you went to the draft, training camp and attended every game next season, these photo essays would make one heck of a coffee table book. I’d gladly narrate it for a cut of the royalties! (Or does that defeat the whole point of a photo essay?) What Jet fan wouldn’t buy this?
(Of course, because of the roof curse, the Jets would end up going 0-16 and somehow find a way to lose the draft and training camp as well. The last chapter could be a series of shots of the Jets players watching the playoffs on TV on their couch. You could even get a shot of Mangini and Tannenbaum in the welfare line).
Just kidding – it’s easy to break a sports curse and the answer is right on your doorstep. You live in Vegas, right?
Dear Santa, I have been a good father, brother and friend. I have been kind to animals and helped the underpriviliged.
I just have one wish Santa, that the Jets beat the Dolphins Dec. 28th and Penningotn beats the stuffing out of Farve.
Orio cookies and milk are on the manlte.
