I love the guy, but that was the best answer given by Kerry Rhodes when he appeared on the Boomer & Carton show this morning. Problems, friends. Problems when a team captain can’t provide answers, or needs them fed to him by Boomer.

On 3rd down — blitzing situations — why does Jenkins come out of the game? I understand they might want to rest him. But he’s a key part to a good blitz. He picks up the double team and frees up linebackers. Let the man blitz.
Why is it so hard to get Gohlston to sack the QB? He can physically outmatch most O-linemen. And he’s definitely not being double-teamed.
Why do you ever rush 3 you *&@%^&$# moron? Watch the Giants, Steelers, and Eagles — excellent blitzing teams. They rush 5-7! It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t understand everyones fascination with bill Cowher. How many superbowls did he win and how long did it take him to actually win? Just a thought. Give Mangini some time…its only his third season

A few thoughts:
1. Mangini’s refusal to go for it on 4th down from the 38 on the first drives says volumes about his way of thinking…not very encouraging
2. I wonder about this team’s conditioning especially the D-linemen at this time of year. They seem out of gas
3. I’ll say again: why Sutton is still hear is mystery. It reflects no Plan B when one of the Ryan Bros was unavailable last winter…sort of like Mangini’s obvious inability to adjust in games when things are not working. Too stuborn anyone?
4. Shottenheimer schizophrenic play calling was masked by our high points output during the streak; throwing long bombs on 2nd & long deep in your own territory twice in the game is very telling…not very encouraging
5. More Shottenheimer: a running game?? Case in point the Carolina Panthers last night (the only team that has a chance to beat the Giants in the NFC)In summary…not very encouraging (no shock there)

I am a huge Mangini supporter but we have gone from possible 2 seed to a 50-50 chance of even making the damn playoffs. The worst part is we lost 2 games we were 6-7 point favorites. Now we have a horrible Buffalo team coming in….god forbid this game is close late. Has this team shown it wont get tight when there chips are against them? They showed some balls in NE after the Cassell TD…They will need to find them to avoid a huge nightmare

Rhodes better get a clue because he hasnt done a thing for most of the year. Revis is clearly working his ass off on the corner so where has Rhodes been? I have seen him late helping and has been a nonfactor in games……Is anyone else tired of seeing Rhodes throw his arms in frustrastion after another secondary breakdown?
Pro Bowl my ass…..Reed and Troy Pol are dominant this year…

and sutton is horrible we have such a talented defense and they are not being utilized….i really cant stand watching sutton from the sidelines….i really wish mangini would take over and stop being scared cuz scared didnt beat tennessee being aggressive ballsy beat tennessee

Mangini seems very smart when he talks at press conferences, but he sounds like someone who lacks imagination. Can we say coaches who win championships or at least do very well in the playoffs (and get their teams into the tournament) have that imagination, that “something else”? Go figure that Schottenheimer is Schottenheimer’s son, a stiff of a coach if there ever was one. What about the Giants’ coach? He tried to change! I don’t have the answer, I just think Mangini may not have the right answers, nor his offensive coordinator, when it counts.

Don’t get on Rhodes. He has to play within the defense that Sutton is calling. This is on Sutton and Mangini. They both need to understand what pressure does to the opposing team/qb. When I see three and four man rushes — I get sick to my stomach. We should be bringing it from all angles. As we look horrible dropping into coverage, how could it hurt to bring the pressure. With all of our talent, it looks like we are throwing games, when we don’t utilize that talent. There is a coaching problem, when we can play so well for a few weeks and then repeatedly look like one of the worst teams in the league.
John Clayton thinks , if we don’t make the playoffs, we should go get Cowher, and I absolutely agree, Cowher is a great coach and with his coaching we will go far next year, that is if we have Favre and Richardson next year, and if it does happen , Woody should offer him the D coaching job just to insult him, but ofcourse this only if we don’t make the playoffs, if we do, and we lose in the 1st round Woody is gonna act stubborn and give him another year
