Chris,

Even if Clowney makes one deep catch he will be taken out just like the defenses week in and week out have been preparing for Coles and Cotchery. Trust me it all lies in the hands BRETT FARVE. He will make or break this offense. I have a feeling on December 28 we are going to be in one heck of a ride and all of you guys will be throwing up at home watching the game that is how close its going to be. Good all you FARVE worshippers should get a taste of Pennington Pie. Like it or not FARVE right now is not helping us get better on offense. You can hear it from Coles, and then slowly Keller and then the rest of the offense.

"Mark my words; the NYJ will not win another game all year if LC, Cotchery, and Keller each record only one catch all game."

Real bold.

Defenses are playing 8-men in the box and 3 deep against Favre. The running game is working because even with a 3 deep, the LBs have to stay at home because of the slants, seam passes, and screens. But, the 3 deep is making it harder for LC, J. Co and Keller to get open on intermediate routes. That's why the 3rd WR has been targeted more often. This brings us to what Clowney could potentially do as a 3rd WR (or even as the 2nd WR)...he could open up those intermediate routes again because the free safety will have to play much deeper, meaning LC, J. Co. or, most likely, Keller would have single coverage by an LB and could go a long way on an intemediate route, especially if Clowney streaks down the weak sideline.

Clowney should get at least one deep ball this game to loosen up the defense. Cotchery has been seeing those pass attempts and he's usually matched stride for stride down the field. He doesn't have the speed to be the deep guy. Jones= 120 yds, 1 td. Keller = 56 yards 2td's

Charley the jets WR's havent been open the past 2 weeks, send clowney deep whether he makes a play or not that changes the dynamic of the O and the way Defenses play us. WE HAVE NO DEEP THREAT WE NEED ONE. if u saw Hester last night draw 2 PI's because he is so damn fast that literally won the game for the Bears. Send Clowney Deep, no reason to waste his speed sitting on the sidelines

Clowney is the saviour huh? That's funny. It's like everyone wants to see the backup quarterback until he actually plays. No the Jets don't need to be flinging long passes down the field. They win by being physical and pushing the opposition off the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. This is how they beat Tennessee and how they will beat Buffalo. The only way to lose this game is to turn the ball over. The Bills offense departed several games back. Don't give them points and the Jets cannot lose.
Jets 24-Bill 6.

1) No one game will make a difference. We need three consecutive wins just to play in a game that will make a difference. One thing Eric has been correct about is the need for consistency.

2) Even during the preseason, only one receiver consistently got open deep. Our brain(dead) trust did not use him and he got injured. Favre doesn't play on specials. Who cares if Clowney cannot. Wallace can and is worthless on the field. Clowney needs to get PT to create the deep threat we wanted from Keller. I suspect the failure to use Keller or Clowney reflects the ambivalence of our CS to deep throws. Other teams have wild passes completed because the WR is so damn open.

3) We need to throw away the tight formation -- it is stupid and throws away Favre's play action skills and the ability of TJ to cut back to open holes.

4) If we are lucky and both Smiths cannot play, perhaps Clowney will get some PT, the CS will not waste time on trickeration and work on a decent game plan, and Eric S will not blow multiple coverages and miss tackles.
