Daily Links: Seriously?

  1. Yesterday’s last minute win was unbelievable. Frankly I thought the same old JETS had broken my heart again. Then came the play which revived the dying JETS. Wanting to see the “Play” again, I watched Fox’s Sports Extra last night. I do not know who the coomentator was, but he basically said for the JETS not to be in control of this important game from the start tells him that there is a coaching problem on the JETS. Surprise! Surprise! Exactly what I have been saying since the loss to the Patsies in week two. But a fact most of you cool aid drinking Mangini fans fail to recognize.

What is Mangini’s supposed strengths?? Defense is the correct answer as he has spent all of his coaching career on the “D” side of the ball including a stint as D-cordinator with the Patsies. If Defense is his strength and he now has all the players who fit his “D” scheme, why does the JETS “D” suck??? A Coaching problem I would say.

How the JETS “D” could be pushed around for 58 minutes by the Bills and then suddenly turn it on in the last two minutes, tells me there is a huge problem on Defense. Coaching, tackling, play calling, schemes, I don’t know the answer, but it is also very apparent that Sutton and Mangini don’t have the answers either.

SO IF WE WANT BRETT BACK SO WE CAN GO TO THE SUPER BOWL IN 2010, MANGINI MUST GO!!!!

  2. What about yesterday’s game made you believe that Favre coming back is the answer? He was terrible, missed a ton of receivers, and only made a few good throws.

The defense was terrible again. Like I had said in the chat, either Jenkins is hurt, or OLs have figured out a way to neutrilize him.

Once again, it’s not by much, but the Jets still control their own destiny…

  3. ESPN:

How unlikely was the touchdown? The last time a team that was losing scored a come-from-behind defensive touchdown in the final two minutes of a game was 1981, when Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Tom Howard returned a fumble to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

  4. Biggest playmaker on the team, gets one carry. Thats how you ALMOST lose a game

  5. In defense of that decision Leon looked loopy after he hit his head on the touchdown run. He looked shocked to recognize Thomas Jones.

  6. Leon Washington is great, but why does he keep letting punts drop at the 12 yard line. Twice during the game, he let the Bills punt drop. The firs ttime was around the 7, so I understand, but the 2nd one dropped around the 12 yardline and rolled to the 1. I got the feeling it was afraid to catch the ball.
