Audible: How did you Celebrate the Ellis Play?

by Bent on December 16th, 2008 at 8:28 am

Clearly we are all approaching this playoff run-in with a tredipidation borne of frustration from seasons past. For whatever reason, despite winning, the team is not living up to what most of us believe they can be. However, they *did* win, and I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that the Ellis TD was one of the most exciting plays in recent Jets history.

Soooo…in an attempt to lighten the mood around here, how did you react to the play? Were you at the game? Did you miss the play altogether? Did you frighten your kids? Did you injure yourself? Did your neighbors complain about the noise?

I wanna hear from ALL of you!

My story is after the jump…
For me, the “karma” just didn’t feel right all game (which I watched with three friends, including one other Jets fan). My usual chair had been replaced by a Christmas Tree, but I wasn’t prepared to sit on the “jinx-couch” because our Raiders fan buddy sits there and they always lose (and last time I sat there, the Jets lost 41-0 to the Jags). Instead, I had sat in my usual place, but on the floor, just in front of the Christmas tree and watched as the Jets looked set to lose it.

With 2:06 to go, I decided to make one last ditch effort to re-align the Feng Shui and alter fate by sitting in my usual chair which was now at the back of the (significantly large) room. On the very next play, Ellis’ TD happened, which was awesome to watch on TV because you saw Elam in the background like a twister coming over the horizon. The other guys (all wanting the Jets to win) were leaping around and hugging and I had leapt to my feet, yelling at the TV (“just get the ball!”). As Ellis leapt across the goalline, the Jets fan ran towards me for what I expected was going to be some sort of high five, man hug or chest bump…and he literally speared me back into the chair! “Get back in that chair!” he said – and of course, I didn’t move from there until the clock showed zeroes.

I’d like to think I played my part in the success of this play, but really it was just a real fun moment. Having read some other stories of how fans, both at the game, in bars and at home, reacted to the play, I can’t wait to hear your comments.

I was at home w/ a buddy of mine and while I had not given up on the game, I certainly wasn’t expecting the Jets comeback to occur via a defensive touchdown. When I saw Elam rampaging around the backside I was pretty excited, but I still felt that Losman would throw it away. However, he didn’t, and when the ball came lose I was out of my chair yelling “get the ball”, then let out a huge “noooooooo” when it was knocked around… then a HUGE celebratory jump in the air when Ellis recovered and ‘sprinted’ in for the score. It was pretty awesome – and came from out of nowhere.

I had taped the game and was watching that part right after putting my 11 month old to sleep.. Just before the play, i turned to my wife and groaned.. “Man, I think they lost this game. ” Not 2 seconds after i said that I saw the ball pup out and started yelling “OH MY GOD HE FUMBLED! ” And my wife started yelling at me “DON’T WAKE THE BABY UP YOU IDIOT! ” So it was like holding in a sneeze… I wanted to yell and run around but couldn’t.. It was still SWEEEET though.

  3. avatar Pete says:

we couldnt stop the run at all and at 2:06 I really thought our season was over. However, I swear I didn’t believe it. My buddy yells out big play before the snap (which happens 140x’s a game) but this time it actually happend….so as I’m watching a bunch of large unathletic guys scramble for their season I was throwing my hands everywhere and managed to punch my cat…….anyway, play of the year and prob. the play that gets us to the playoffs……JETS SON!!

  4. avatar TFP says:

I was listening to it on the radio on the way home from vermont. After pretty much realizing that the Bills had the game wrapped up, I was more surprised to hear that they were passing it. I guess it was Ian Eagle calling the game with Marty and he did a good job of explaining the play, but even after Ellis scored I was still saying “why the hell were they passing it?”

  5. avatar droseatwork says:

rolled a fatty and smoked that bad boy!

  6. avatar DanBreen says:

I was at the game, and was slowly coming to the painful realization that the season was over. I didn’t even react that much, to be honest; between my shock at Jauron’s frankly insane call, and the sudden change in fortune, I think I was more relieved than anything else. I don’t know what’s wrong with this team, I really don’t, and this miraculous finish will be forgotten amid the wreckage of an enormous wasted opportunity of a season if they don’t start playing better immediately.

  7. avatar Eddie from Yonkers says:

I was having chest pains throughout this game just fearing what almost ending up happening. THIS IS A MUST WIN i kept yellin at the TV. To make matters worse my 9 year old son was pestering me all game to give him a haircut–no i’m no guiseppe franco, he just wanted me to buzz his head with a razor. I kept telling him to go away and come back when its over. well after the bickering bills made that last first down i said the heck with it this is over. so i’m buzzing my sons head when out of the corner of my eye i catch elam sneaking up on JP like a mugger. POP. BALLS LOOSE. BATTED AROUND. ELLIS PINBALLS INTO THE ENDZONE. I vincent van gogh’d my poor kid. His ear was literally on the floor. I felt terrible. BUT THE JETS WON.

  8. avatar JustAGreenGuy says:

I had watched the second half at a friends house. I was startinging to sulk as we gave away the game and then it happened. Within an instant I was 7 feet closer to the TV cheering Ellis to keep going. I scared my friend parents and after high fiving the entire room my friend yelled at me saying he was on the phone. I told him to f himself he is a Dolphins fan.

  9. avatar Jimbo says:

I was lucky enough to be at the game in person. Better yet, my seats were six rows back in the end-zone where Ellis rumbled in.

I was sitting in frustration as the play unfolded. I could see Elam coming off the corner gunning for Lossman. I jumped up and watched the scene play out as Elam nailed Lossman knocking the ball loose. I was screaming to get on the ball (thought it was going to be knocked out of bounds), as Ellis snatched up the bouncing ball and fell into the endzone. I grabbed my buddy (Jet fan) who was sitting next to me and hugged him. We went nutz and turned around to high five the two 10 year olds sitting behind us. The words coming out of their mouth was something their parents would not want to hear. The Meadowlands was pandemonium.

During the ensuing kick-off, the J-E-T-S chant was one of the loudest I have ever heard. It was amazing!!

  10. avatar mole57 says:

Had realized that my wife had the game on upstairs on the “jinx” TV. Ran upstairs and turned it off, then sprinted back without missing a play. The very next play, Losman drops back (huh?) and Ellis goes into the endzone. My first reaction was to remain calm because the refs must have thrown a phantom penalty flag against the Jets. No flag came out, but I couldn’t relax and enjoy it until the extra point went through, because my next assumption was that the replay booth would take a look at it, misinterpret some archaic rule and overturn the TD. The extra point went through, the disbelief wore off, and the celebration began.

As the ball got stripped, I immediately jumped out of my couch screaming, “FALL ON IT! YOU IDIOTS! FALL ON IT!!”

And then it bounced for what seemed like an hour and Ellis picked it up, charging into the endzone at which point I jumped in exuberation followed by a collapse face down in my couch out…shocked that it had to come to that

  13. avatar Matt C says:

I was at the game with a girl I have been dating for a couple months… When the sack happened, she along with the most of the crowd (what was left anyway) started screaming, high fiving, jumping up and down etc… I, in typical Jet fan fashion, waited for a replay to see if the play could possibly be overturned. She learned a lot about the type of person I am on Sunday

  14. avatar Jonathan says:

I was at the game, anticipating a loooong drive back to DC when it happened. I didn’t celebrate at first and just kept looking all around the field for yellow hankies.
The guy in front of me in Section 306 couldn’t enjoy the moment, as he grumbled: “We’re F—–.”

  15. avatar klecko71 says:

i was with some friends….1 being a giant fan…so he got most of the taunts and celebration…

then i went back to shaking my head at how awful this team has looked for 3 weeks…..

we are a joke….and how our defensive coordinator still has a job is f—–g beyond me.

geeeeee….wonder if we are gonna just sit back and let senaca f—–g wallace throw for 240 and 2 tds…

  16. avatar Ed says:

Jumped from my couch and started yelling at Ellis to fall on the ball as loud as I could yell. Scared my wife and daughter. When he picked it up and started running, I yelled “Don’t fumble!” When he scored I slumped back down onto the couch, feeling the relief of our entire season being saved with one play.

  17. avatar Evan says:

I was in my living room, watching the game by myself. I was screaming back and forth all game…I was really pis$sed we gave the ball away on 4th down, which would have won it..and I’m watching in disbelief as Marshawn Lynch (who is very good btw, and I kinda like him as a player) is just rumbling through us and I know its over. They need one more first down and thats it. and 2nd and 5 is great set up for them I was really worried. But then I saw them set up a pass play and seeing Elam coming from the Blindside, make that, sprinting from the blindside, I was jumping up and down as the ball was loose adn Ellis picks it up and throws his shoulder into the O-lineman and rumbles in for the score…I was screaming and jumping up and down in absolute joy and shock…unbelievable finish.

  18. avatar Reprocity says:

I was so mad at the time it took me a while to enjoy it. It almost felt like Vinny’s phantom TD against Seattle. I was more laughing about Buffalo losing than I was Jets winning. It’s a gimme!

  19. avatar Blair says:

Like another fan, I was on my way home from VT, and listening on sirius. I was w/ my homeboy and overall sports brother, Moose, and my gf was in the back of the car reading. When we finally got food and hit the road, it was 14-0. Obviously, we listened to every painful detail as the jets threw their season in the gutter. Right before JP dropped back to pass, Moosey says “I am so sick of cheering for these pathetic choke artist teams” (we’re both Mets fans :(

Then… the play. Moosey was silent and listening in disbelief. I just kept yelling “WHAT!” over and over again, also not fully understanding that they decided to pass, and fearing a yellow hankie looming.

    Then we celebrated w/ greenery.

  20. avatar Mike says:

Man have I got a story for you…

I currently live in Houston Texas but originally I ‘m from NY. So I am a New Yorker at heart. Meaning I’m loud, sometimes obnoxious and seem to always come off as abrasive to the locals. So when Abram Elam forced that fumble and I screamed at the top of my lungs “YES YES YES OMG HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!” It got the attention of my neighbors. They came running out of their apartments calling out “Is everything okay?” I realized just how loudly I shouted when neighbors from down the block joined the search to see if everyone was ok! I was still in shock from the play that I hardly noticed when the paramedics showed up. The neighbors called 911! Apparently they thought I shouted “DAD DAD DAD OMG HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!” It’s good to know I have good samaritans as neighbors. The paramedic knocked on my door and asked if everything was ok and I explained it was and that I was watching football and something amazing happened. He asked if I knew my name and if I knew where I was. The neighbors were very upset with me… they told me never to do it again… I said well hopefully the Jets won’t give me reason to. I’ll be in NY for the next two games… so unless they get to the playoffs it wont be a problem… though I hope it will be!

  21. avatar mjrjetfan says:

I was glued to the TV the whole game long, and I was quickly sinking into a depression about what seemed to be the inevitable outcome. Then I saw Elam lumber from the right to Losman’s blindside and I was thinking that he is just going to throw an incomplete pass….then I am screaming because of the fumble….then I am screaming for Ellis to just fall on the ball….then I am screaming for Ellis to not fumble the ball….then I am screaming for there to be no flags on the play….then I am jumping around in my house in total amazement because of the gift we just received….I was still nervous because of the time remaining on the clock and our defense’s ability to reincarnate Joe Montana out of whatever 3rd string QB is facing them at the time….

  22. avatar Matt H says:

I was at the game with my Father. I have season tix in section 326. My father hadn’t been to a game with me in a few years because he had a heart attack (which he attributes mostly to being a jets fan). Sure enough, he finally made the trip back to section 326 this past Sunday. When around him, I always made sure not to get him too excited or agitated. He’s still under doctor’s order to keep his stress and excitement levels down. As the entire game went by, I could see him trying to hold in his screaming. Same with me, as the game went along, I would cheer and scream, but made sure not to egg my father on. Sure enough, as we both sat there with 2 minutes to go in the game, with our head in our hands…Losman drops back, Elam sacks him, ball pops out, Ellis recovers for a TD…which resulted in
TOTAL BEDLAM…My father started screaming louder than I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I jumped on him so hard that he fell into the guy next to him and the entire row nearly fell down like dominos. Pandemonium. But, what fun. I asked him what about his doctors…he said…**** the doctors…did you see that play!!! GO JETS!!!!

  23. avatar Drew says:

After the TO was called at 2:06 I changed the channel (which I never do during the Jet game) to see if SF could score to beat Miami since we were going to blow our season. I got back to the Jet game as Buffalo broke the huddle. I saw Loshman drop back (stunned) and then saw Elam off the edge and almost crapped myself. I thought back to the Elam sack when C Pace scored and then BOOM the hit and fumble takes place!!!! I am just yelling Balls Loose…Balls Loose and then was stunned as Ellis scored. I looked at my brother (Giants fan) who just said Loshman just saved your ass. I then panicked as there was still time left for Buffalo to score….lol

  24. avatar JCiniello says:

All the fans in my section went completely wild. High fives, man hugs and dancing all around.

  25. avatar Louis says:

I jumped off the couch at my frat house and ran around looking for someone to hug. Remembering that it’s mostly Steelere fans at Carnegie Mellon, I then proceeded to swiffer up all the broken glass of beer bottles I’d thrown at my T.V. over the course of the game.

  26. avatar greg says:

The guy in front of me knocked my glasses off, and another dude two rows up handed them back to me, bent a little. I was grabbing the arms and high fiving about 20 people all at once. It was insanity. Bent my glasses back during next drive.

  27. avatar Joe B. says:

I jumped around the room for a good minute and screamed “YES!!!” about 50 times, following by a guttural “THE BIG F**KING CAAAAAAAAATTT!!!”. Still haven’t gotten my voice back.

  28. avatar DaveTN says:

I scared the heck out of my friend’s 18 month old son by jumping up and down and screaming. Good times.

  29. avatar MoLewisSec135 says:

Best game I’ve experienced at the Meadowlands since the Monday Night Miracle. Definitely proud of the Jets fans and the amount of noise we were able to make as we closed this game out! My hands are still swolen from banging on the seats in front of us all afternoon. Elam and Ellis deserve all the credit in the world for making that play happen, and I’m just praying we can get ourselves into the Playoffs and start facing more high-caliber teams, who you know we’re able to play up to. Let’s enjoy this win and look forward to this team stepping up to the plate next weekend so we can bring Chad and the Fish into our house and keep this momentum rolling into the postseason!!!

  30. avatar Clowney says:

Ok so I’m in Binghamton University. This game is being played during 24 hour quiet hours, we have finals this week. Loud noise is not especially appreciated and, of course, me being an excessively verbose and LOUD, Jets fan, priding myself on my sailor’s mouth, there was no way I was being silent.

I was screaming throughout the game at the television with my good friend, also a big Jets fan. A jets hat was on top of a lamp, good luck charm, and my Favre Jersey hugged me tightly. Game was horrible. They played poorly and that did not do me well. There were ppl outside studying who thought I was experiencing numerous heart-attacks.

Yet, before the “Pot Luck” I had thrown the hat off the lamp, stripped my favre jersey off (and hung it back up), and sat sulking on my couch. I was sure there would be no miracle, there was no way. But, when Losman dropped back I knew something was up and when Elam came around the corner and the ball was stripped my mouth was spewing a mixture of loud, incomprehensible words and numerous rude curse words. My room shaked, my friend (who had left the room) ran back in. It was a miracle and an exciting one at that. Lucky, yes, but man was I wrong about the good luck charms. I’m wearing a white undershirt and no hat next game!

    Lets go Jets

  31. avatar GP says:

I was watching with my two roommates (Giants fans) when that drive started. As I usually do when it seems the Jets are about to lose, I locked myself in my room so my roommates wouldn’t give me any ****. When Elam knocked the ball loose, I started screaming for them to fall on the ball. Then as Shaun picked it up and hauled ass to the end zone, I started jumping and screaming “Go, Shaun” over and over at the top of my lungs. I had worn my Chrebet jersey for both the Broncos game (I was there in person) and the Niners game. I didn’t wear it this time and I’ll be damned if I put it on next week. Love ya Wayne, but I’m a man of superstition.

  32. avatar cbiscuit says:

I live in KY and was listening to the feed on Sirius NFL Radio with my son and his college buddies upstairs. We were at the TEN game in Nashville and really thought we turned the corner after that one.

I gotta say, after the Lynch first down we were in the dumps and were about ready to shut things down. I was pacing the floor like a maniac, wondering how we could have blown this thing. When Elam got the strip I started jumping up and down. When Ellis scored I started running around the room doing the pony ride dance until my son tackled me. His buddies looked at us like we were gay and we got a tongue lashing from Mom, but what an awesome feeling. A true gift at the expense of a division rival. We gotta capitalize on this! I’m not worried about the O, but goddam we cannot stop anyone right now. Seneca Wallace next up to be turned into an all-Pro if we’re not careful. I want to see Chad and the Phins at our joint with the season on the line.

  33. avatar Mel31602 says:

    Clowney-
I too am at a college with 24 hour quiet hours. Unfortunately I’m in Mass. so not too many Jets fans around. Anyway I only get to watch the games on TV (rather than illegally online) when the Pats are on at a different time than the Jets like they were this week. So this was the first game I got to watch on TV in good quality in over a month. I had a test the next day and was procrastinating studying for it, but with 2:10 left I was so upset that the loss would make me too annoyed to study. Then that play happened and I was in shock I couldn’t believe it. Then like some others on here I thought a) hopefully it won’t be reviewed and overturned and b) there’s still too much time left for them to score. The only bad thing is it’s been hard to concentrate on finals and I’ve been going online every few minutes to watch the highlight of that play on NFL.com.

But my father has a better story. Don’t know all the details yet, but we have season tickets on by that endzone where he scored. My parents were at the game and got up to leave a play or two before. My father always goes to the bathroom before the drive home, so he was in there when the play happened. He had his radio on so he heard the call but I don’t know what he did after that. I’m sure the others in the room with him must have been wondering what was going on, especially with all the cheering from inside the stadium.

  34. avatar MrBill says:

Pre-play: sitting on the couch trying to figure out how much time we’d have if we forced them to punt.

During play: “GET THERE ELAM! GET THERE…. YES! YES! GET THE BALL! GET THE BALL! STILL LOOSE!… RUN SEAN! RUN! RUN!… DID HE STEP OUT????? YYYYEEESSSSSSS!!!!! Holy *bleep* that NEVER happens to us! We NEVER get the good luck!”

Post play: *Calls Father: “Dad! DAD! Buffalo fumbled and Ellis scored! Didja see it? DAD! We’re WINNING… OH! Revis just picked off another one! It’s over! We’re alive…”

/Football is probably too important to all of us.

  35. avatar vajet says:

pure exhilaration combined with gut-wrenching nervousness realizing that buffalo still had a little under 2:00 to drive on our D that just made an awesome play, but have been below expectation throughout and were JUST on the field, and still win the game. twisted up and sweat bullets. that had to be the longest 2 mins ever. revis int. jets go 3-out. wtf. then i celebrated just like our green giant ellis did two weeks ago =)

    GO JETS GO!

ps- to everyone who hates us cp fans. I WILL RETIRE MAI JETS CP JERSEY AND GO BUY A FREAKIN FAVRE JERSEY IF WE CAN BEAT THEM WEEK 17 DAMNIT!

  36. avatar Clowney says:

    Mel,

I know exactly what you mean. I’m from Long Island, but up here in upstate New York in Binghamton we are in Bills network. So usually I have to go to a sports place to watch the game, but hey since this game was the Bills game I was able to watch it in the comfort of my own room, while I too was procrastinating from finals,

O the Jets and there ability to prevent college students from paying attention to important tests. Gotta love it.

  37. avatar Mel31602 says:

Clowney (I’m assuming that’s not your real name haha),

Yeah I’m too lazy/bad with public transportation to go off campus and I don’t have a TV so I usually end up watching it on horrible quality on justin.tv. I didn’t discover that site until this year but luckily last year there wasn’t much reason to watch the Jets games if you know what I mean… So far I’ve gotten to see every game except the Chiefs and the Titans, both of which I listened to online. But I’m going home in two days so I should be able to go the the Fins game if my dad doesn’t mind driving home at 1 AM.

And I almost went to Binghamton too…. or would have if my parents had the final say (I’m from NY and it was cheaper). At least you’re not in Pats/Red Sox country.

  38. avatar Clowney says:

Yeah Mel, I know what you mean (Wish clowney was my real name hahaha, my name’s Matt),

But I got friends that go to college in Boston, Umass, Northeastern, and BC,,,, and they got good stories bout screwing with big patriots fans.

But yeah shud be a good one with Miami and even Seattle this sunday which i’ll be lucky enough to see at home and not have to go off campus.

Lets just hope that this Jets euphoria that we experienced as well as many others on this site can translate over to more success and not make me feel bad about being on this webside when I shud be studying for my Egyptian History test which is tomorrow.

  39. avatar Mel31602 says:

Yeah I don’t go to any of those schools you mentioned but I know a lot of people from my high school at Binghamton (which is one reason I didn’t want to go there… too many bad high school memories)

I’ll be home for the Seattle game too and we may even go to the Inside the Jets radio show since it’s not too far from the house.

And I have a test tomorrow too but I just came from one so I’m taking a (very long) break!

  40. avatar Clowney says:

haha, good ol’ Binghamton everybody has ton’s of ppl from there H.S here haha, what h.s did u go to. I just try to avoid em’ unless they are Jets fan’s then on Sunday everyone is invited to watch lol.

But yeah Lets go Jets, and less importantly (obviously), good luck on ur finals man

  41. avatar Mel31602 says:

I’m not from L.I. I’m from Rockland County so you probably don’t know the H.S. Good luck on your finals too (and btw I’ve said this a few times on this blog but I’m not a guy…)

  42. avatar adam says:

I really don think it is a stretch to say that my friend lost his mind momentarily. He was not acting like a human.

  43. avatar Clowney says:

O, Sorry bout the mix-up but yeah good luck and surprisingly I have a bunch of friends up here that are from rockland county wouldn’t know any of their H.S’s, but who knows may know some ppl u were trying to get away from haha.

But anyways, Lets go Jets and hopefully we can pull for two straight wins. I’m incredibly pessimistic and hey how can I not be being a Mets and Jets fan. It’s a terrible combination, my dad’s fault for getting me into this horror. But mayb the Ellis play will show a spark and catapult us on to a win streak. But what do I know if the defense cannot tackle like they cudn’t on sunday then I can guarentee we will not get so lucky in the future hahaha

Anyways back to studyin tty again on this blog soon, maybe when our Jets are rockin in the wildcard round. Im getting way ahead of myself arent I, haha.

  44. avatar Mel31602 says:

It’s cool Clowney. My dad got me into the Jets too so I blame him for all this misery haha. But like I said he’s the one who missed the Ellis play because he was in the bathroom! I hope that play sparks the team too but I’m worried since Sunday is Holmgren’s last game so the Hawks will be all fired up. I have to go study too so I’ll ttyl, though I don’t comment on this blog much but maybe I will now that school is almost over.

  45. avatar Clowney says:

Yeah, my first time commenting on this blog, I thought it was a cool post so I wanted to relay my story. Yeah, they will def be fired up and Holm is doin a lap around the field (walking obviously, wouldn’t want to see him run, dun think he would make it) after the game to say his final goodbye

Fact is Jets better be fired up to. May be Holm’s last game but it will be the Jets last one this winter if they screw up and let the horrible hawks take advantage of them. Time for Favre to step up for the first time in weeks, and time for the leaders on this team (TJ, Ellis) to also step up and play killer football

    Lets go Jets

  46. avatar SackDance99 says:

I normally sit in the upper level, but a buddy of mine hooked me up with two lower level seats, basically on the line where Losman rolled out an Elam sacked and stripped him. Right before the play I was thinking about how yet another crappy QB was beating the Jets and Losman was doing it for the 2nd time in 3 years.

As the play was happening, I was in total disbelief. Why pass? The Jets actually had a blitz on (must’ve been a run blitz). Losman was rolling but somehow didn’t feel the pressure. Then, when the ball was bouncing around I was thinking “JUST FALL ON IT!!” When I saw one of the D-linemen carry the ball, I thought “OH NO, HE’LL FUMBLE IT!” Then, when Ellis went in, I thought that the play would be reviewed because I thought Ellis might have stepped out.

The crowd was a little hushed, everyone couldn’t believe what they had seen, then the crowd roared, everyone around me went bonkers and the J-E-T-S chants were deafening. It was the most improbable Jets win that I’d ever seen live and maybe ever. Finally, the football gods smiled on us and most folks on this site treated this gift of a win like a loss. The Jets certainly lost games this season that they should’ve won, I’m enjoying the win in a game that was an all but certain loss.

  47. avatar Evan says:

Mel, Clowney..I hear ya guys…I go to Northeastern in Boston but am from Long Island. That’s funny. I was happy it was on TV as well, get to watch it in HD…but I’m also spoiled in that theres a decent sportsbar down the street from me so I go there when the game isn’t on TV (they have the package) and they’res usually a good turnout of misplaced Jets fans on those days.

And yes, I love toying with Pats fans. I had the joy to be at the Jets/Pats game in November and the joy to be in Boston during the Giants Super Bowl win. great great times.

I was at the game… when the bills got the first down with under 3 minutes to go my friend said “you wanna go” and i was like “they cant stop em! they have the 2 minute warning and 3 timeouts though.. lets just stay till the end” i sat in my seat with my head resting on my chin just staring at the scoreboard that said.. MIA 14..SF 9.. i said.. i cant believe our seasons over.. all of a sudden i see losman back to pass and saw elam.. i sat on the edge of my seat.. the ball came out and i jumped as high as i ever have in my life. i said.. I was watchin’ the game with my parents, but I was countin’ ‘em out of the game since they just had to run the clock down… Then I saw the roll out, Elam broke around the edge, and I just grinned REAL big. Then when the ball came out , I leaped to the TV and started screaming at Bryan Thomas for not recovering it. Then Ellis scooped it up and made the pylon and I fell over laughing.
Then my ma asks: Who is #92?
And I replied: He’s a nice dude… With some nice dreams… See his ice cubes… See his ice creams?

I was at my brothers in mid-town sitting on his couch, wondering how this could happen… basically sulking like a bitch in my own misery, the Mets two years in a row and now the Jets..ugghhhhh.

As I was telling my brother how they would just run the ball two more times, pick up the first down and run out the clock, I see JP LOSEman drop back…what!!?? Off the corner breaks Elam..”GET’UM GET’UM” I yelled, my brother actually had the foresight to yell “STRIP THE BALL!!” and sure enough out it popped like a new born baby from Jenna Jameson. I started screaming “drop on the ball…NO..grab it..NO…oh ****” then it bounced up into Ellis’ hands…”RUN RUN RUN!!!”…I turned to my brother and picked him up to the ceiling tossing him back on the couch, then raised my hands in the air ..”HOLY ****” We starting jumping up and down, slapping hands and running around the living room…”Is there a flag?? is there a flag??” But the flag did not come….we live another week.

    LOVE IT!!

I was at the game sitting around the same people that I have all season. When that play happened it was like we all went insane… going crazy people hugging each other running around in the aisles. WOW just thinking about that play…. it was incredible.

I only hope we can get back on track and make the play count at the end of the season!!

I am a season ticket holder section 109. Right before the play our section was in disbelief. “No one and i mean no one, besides Chad fans will be coming to the game in 2 weeks. As the play unfolded it seems odd, a roll out on 2nd and 6. I could see why they called a pass, either A: throw it away, B: Complete for a 1st down, or C: Incomplete pass. As Elam rushed into the backfield I Knew the ball would come loose. Usually and I mean usually the ball doesn’t go our way, but it did. Ellis picks up the skin and rumbles in for 6. The place went nuts, beer everywhere, screaming, yelling and chanting J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS. The ride home was actually enjoyable.
