Reading the interviews from practice today I HATE the way this team sounds. They sound like a bunch of scared little girls. Mangini, Jenkins talking about you have to give the other team credit for them preventing the Jets D from blitzing succesfully and/or stopping the run last week. Law comparing Seattle to San Fran. Ugh. Just shup the f up. The last two games this team has played scared. Mangini’s postgame comments after Buffalo were absurd- about how he was pleased with the win, “you never know what its going to look like”. F that. These teams suck. We are an exceptionally talented team playing for our playoff lives. San Fran, Buffalo, Seattle – those losers are trying to ruin our season. Go out there and hit them in the f’ing mouth, again and again, until they don’t want to get up any more. Then let Damien Woody sit on them. Seriously, how about some pride, some balls and some killer instinct.
Let me say it now: Brett Favre will NOT be back next year if Mangini and Schott are still with the JETS. So Woody has a big decision. Let us only hope that he will DUMP Mangini!

He’s 39 years old, he moved all the way from the midwest to NYC (and he’s a good ole country boy). Do you think Favre is out there for the paycheck? for his health? Dude, you’re stuck on stupid, and if there is anything that I can do to help, just let me know.

Listen to the press conference, when asked about him being confident about the playofffs he pauses for 10 seconds.
He will not be back next year guaranteed. I am all for him, we need him big time the next two games ( and into the playoffs). Just from listening to him in these press conferences does not instill a lot of confidence
You may think from listening to Favre that you are hearing lack of confidence but there’s no way he goes out on that field and gives anything less than 110%. The guy wants to win, plain and simple. History shows that.
He was the same way in green bay week in and week out in his press conferences.
I seriously doubt anyone in that huddle looks at him and thinks that he isn’t going to lay it on the iine for the team.

If your favorite team went and spent a $hit load of money on tons of pro bowlers I the offseason, what you expect out of the them? I’m not hearin it, no excuses, gang green, let’s make it happen!

He does not make a pretty picture when he talks about himself and his future, probably why he paused, for it is possible he himself is confused by all the nonsense.
The question is, if the Jets make it to the tournament, what will happen then? All bygones will be bygones, all past feelings of confidence or no confidence will be of no account, and the true test of will and character and caring will arrive. Also, the question of whether Mangini will be let go will become complicated, as many have already pointed out.
The Jets are better than Seattle and the Dolphins, and I for one expect them to win, but it wil be close in the final week and the outcome will be in the balance. And it will be a lot of fun.
