Yea,I would much rather have the phins get in as well. Regardless of them winning though, is we win the division if we dont loose.so lets go.but we are gonna beat up on the phins the last game

I couldn’t careless who gets in if the Jets don’t. Boy, Arizona is on a 2 week vacation getting spanked 2 weeks in a row. KC is putting up a fight hopefully they can pull it off, there up by 4.

I am rooting for the Chiefs so that if the Pats win at 1pm next week, Miami is out of it when they play us, and demoralized. If we can’t beat a demoralized team on national tv with the division on the line, I don’t care that the Pats get in (and they would deserve it)

A Miami loss really only benefits NE. Even if the Fish lose we still have to win two games. With a Jet loss today that would put NE in with a 1 pm win at Buffalo next week, rendering the Jets-Miami game meaningless. With a Jet win at Seattle we would still have to beat Miami, assuming a NE win at Buffalo. So how are we helped by a KC victory?

charleyjet — yes, we are unaffected by the Chiefs win. You are right, we have to win twice whether the Fins win or lose. The point you are missing is how this loss would affect our opponent in the final game. Instead of playing a team that is trying to win the game to take home the division crown and a home playoff game, their only motivation is to spoil the season for the Jets, and give NE the crown. No one is saying they will lie down for the Jets, but human nature kicks in at some point when the game is meaningless for one team and not the other.

Elam had him stopped for a loss on the 3rd and 1 and you cold see him focusing solely on trying to strip the ball. Result = 1st down. 2 plays later, Seattle score.
