D. Rose Says: This Team Is Soft
This has been one of the most disgusting collapses in football memory. Again the lack of imagination and guts by coaches and players has ruined what had been an exciting fifteen weeks for us jets fans. Changes must be made and these changes must be drastic. If I were Tannenbaum, this is what I would do:
1. Schottenheimer must go – His game plans were dreadful and really didn’t show any command of a scheme. His inability to adjust to opposing defenses was pitiful. His inability to work with Favre was god-awful. He couldn’t see that this was a smash mouth team and that he should devise running plays that play to TJ’s strengths is beyond explanation.
He is little more than Hackett version 2.0 with his dink and dunk style. I fail to see ANY DIFFERENCE and he must go and he must go right now.
2. Sutton Must GO – Duh. There needs to be no explanation.
3. Cut LC – He is past his prime and I have had enough with his whining. Clowney is the vertical threat and as you have seen he is constantly getting separation unlike LC.
4. Favre Must Go – We tried, it didn’t work. He is not having fun, for the last month he has looked miserable and his play has reflected it. He is not a New York guy and it shows.
5. Romeo must be hired to run the defense.
6. Mangini must grow a pair. I don’t know if I want him back, my gut says no right now. His gutless coaching style is inexcusable. He needs to reflect on his style and realize he is not Bellicheck and must find himself.
7. Promote Callahan to OC. He took the raiders to the Super Bowl and was a very good O-Line coach this year. He is more decisive and aggressive than Schott.
8. Get a play making WR. We need someone besides Leon who makes the other team afraid. Our WR corps is not talented enough.

I think we have enough talent, but you can’t evaluate anything under this coaching staff.
Unfortunately we need to clean house and pray they hire a real guy.
The signs have been there for two years.
And so it goes. -
I really dont think Romeo and Callahan (as OC) enhance this team much.
We need some fire- GET ROB RYAN. I agree that ROMEO is the black Manghini.
I WANT ANSWERS…
-
The reason Mangini needs to go is deeper than just a lack of guts. To put it bluntly, he is in over his head and is not good enough to be a head coach in the NFL right now.
-
The Jets have no answer and never will. This organization is an utter failure historically, managed and coached by utter incompetents. So: Tannenbaum, Mangini, Schottenheimer & Sutton plus Favre (what a historic blunder, letting Chad go for Favre!!) and some of the overpaid stars T and G persuaded to come to NJ.
soj!!
-
I say we go after Cowher, he would bring some toughness. I know we won’t and we’ll keep Mangini for another year and have nobody good available after next year.
-
Droseatwork….so are your solutions..soft.
-
If you read between the lines of the players’ comments, they’re all screaming (in player speak) that they’re being out prepared and outcoached. Plain and simple, Mangina has not had his team prepared to win these games against less than mediocre competition. It’s obvious that Mangina and his staff are overmatched, and must pay the price.
-
dumb penalties and losing the battle at the line of scrimmage killed us yesterday
-
Manginia’s ultimate sin is not giving this team an identity. they get too cute each week putting in specific game plans, and then, when the game comes, they appear lost. Their failure each and every game to blitz speaks to their wussified attitude, and that attitude has seeped into the team as a whole. Playing NOT TO LOSE will get you fired (hopefully).
-
Why does Schott never use the play action fake? Almost every pass play has Favre in the shotgun with an empty backfield, we might as well announce over the PA system “we’re gonna pass now”. There is no imagination in the play calling, no attempt at deception. It’s as if Schott has no feel for whats happening on the field. Yesterday’s game screamed for a power run game supplemented with play action passing, we did neither.
Once again we made a no-name QB look like Joe Montana. Wallace could have made a sandwich and ate it by the time our pass rush got to him.
We play uninspired, umimaginative football, and for the first time I’m saying fire the whole staff and start over.
-
Mangini has to go. He allowed everything to go on.
Romeo, I don’t know.
Plenty of talented WR’s and QB’s coming out of college in the next two years.
I agree on every other move.
Time for a “Change we can believe in”
-
Cowher is a great idea. Totally agree, Mangini is in over his head. Brett is lost, Coles is done. Can’t take it anymore. We should have been jamming the ball down their throat all day but yet again there is Brett in shotgun on 2nd and 6. Ughhhhhhhhh!!! Clean house time again.

“If I were Tannenbaum”….I would fire myself! Seriously, the problems with the Jets go WAY beyond individuals, or a group of individuals. There are organizational problems that have existed for many years. I mean, look at the evidence – the numerous first round draft busts, the “here we go again” collapses in December, and now this gamble on Favre and the spending like a drunken sailor in free agency.
12 months ago, Chad Pennington was the most accurate QB in NFL history, and had a consistent rating of about 90 (give or take some). But Jets staff AND players considered him soft, and lacking in arm strength. So, what happens? He gets traded to Miami, where he leads a 1-15 team to the brink of the AFC East title.
Its no wonder the last seriously successful season by the Jets was 1998, when you have Parcells and Belichick (yeah I said it) at the helm – Two controlling coaches that could stand up to the ineptitude of those around them. And they achieved success using relatively unheralded players, too.
And again, there is NO succession plan for Favre, should he resign once again. And for sure, he’s not going to make up his mind about another season until May or June, just like the last few years. So, are you now going to be able to go out and pursue a QB like Cassel on the FA market? No, of course not – a guy like that doesn’t want to be thinking about warming the bench for Favre when he could be starting at 6 or 10 other teams.
If you want to change, the entire organization needs to be shaken up from top to bottom – like the Patriots in the mid 90′s (Yeah, I said it)

Remind me again why Romeo C should be considered for a position on the Jets’ staff. Bc he wore the hate of DC in NE when we all know it was the genius Belicheat calling the plays.
-
David:
I’m sorry, I can’t buy into the critisim of dumping Pennington. The guy looked washed up last year, he’s good enough to be a game manager and nothing more (and while I like him on the Dolphins, he will be exposed by the Titans, Steelers, or Ravens). I think Tannenbaum has done a pretty good job of putting this team together.
He drafted a QB for the future and that hasn’t worked out. Look at the Cardinals, the only reason they are successful is because their 37 year old formerly washed up QB was having an MVP season for 13 weeks. They also don’t have a contingency plan.
THey made great trades for Jenkins, signed Pace who was playing great for the 1st half of the season and has done the job.
I have defended Mangini until this week, but the bottom line is that the Jets got outplayed by a minimum of 4 inferior teams (Chiefs, Raiders, 49ers, Seahawks) and outplayed by another 3 arguably inferior teams (Bills, Broncos, Chargers). That’s an unacceptable job as coach. The CS has failed the team.
I personally hate Cowher as a coach, I think he’s completely overrated, but I would love to see new blood next season. It would be a shame to blow up the system yet again, but Mangini is terrible. Of all the questionable coaching decisions, the not kicking the 50 yard field goal is the most indefensable. HE JUST MADE A KICK THAT WAS GOOD FROM 55 YARDS. The justification does not hold up.
I’m embarrassed to root for this team. Though I did wear my Jets tie to work, mostly out of spite.
-
Mr. Rose. Could you please explain why you think we should keep a HC who in three years has kept the OC and DC that produced an offense and defense like ours? You want to fire them? Why not the guy who hired them, relied on them, and trained them? He could have replaced them at any time. He could have taken over play calling responsibilities at any time. His failure to do so means he accepted their drek.
Why blame the coordinators for use of personnel? Is not that a HC responsibility. Coles falls on Eric. I don’t even blame Tannenbaum for signing him. That was a mistake as it turned out. But playing him instead of Clowney compounded that error. Playing Smith compounded that error, because like Coles, Smith does not get separation or make big catches.
Do you also blame the coordinators for their use or misuse of Gholston and Lowery? Do you really think Law played much better than Lowery? Did Drew Coleman? Did Poteat? Do you think a decent HC might have thought of some way to get some production from a physical specimen like Gholston.
Do you blame them for the fall-off in Rhodes production? I never heard of a third year jinx before.
Eric has to go.
Tannenbaum should go if he refuses to administer the coup de gras to his buddy — putting personalities ahead of fixing this mess.
Next year’s team will likely suck without a QB. We let a pro go for someone who no longer has it. Clemens has not shown much and does anyone really want to rely on Ratliff for an entire season.
But a new CS familiar with a 3-4 defense should be brought in. Now!

schottenheimer has the consistancy of a bowl of chicken broth, he’s awful and needs to go. you can’t blame the game on LC, see party above as well as coaching staff… but he’s got to make that catch anyway
-
and if favre were a giant with receivers, an offensive line that could pass block…he’d by a ny guy.
-
I know it is a long shot, but I would love to grab a player like Michael Crabtree. That guy is the type of playmaker this team needs in the passing game. He is one of those once every five years type players.
One can dream………
Heck, what am I saying?? I am not sure if I can even stand this organization any longer. Brutal!!!
-
I like the idea of firing schott and sutton – dont know if callahan and romeo are the answer (still want rob ryan for the defense). I agree with everything else. For everyon calling for Mangini’s head its not going to happen, I feel like his job isnt even a little bit at risk – he and tannenbaum are like this (*crosses index and middle fingers). If the jets do switch coaches i vote for rex ryan of the ravens.
-
I got a solution, FIRE the entire staff except Callahan, and Westhoff, run to the CBS Sports studios, and convince Cowher to coach our team, and force Favre to retire. Start Clemens or Ratliff.
-
No one complain about Brad Smith, other than his two fumbles this year he has been a gimmick guy and a great contributor on special teams. We have 50 DBs, he should keep a roster spot over Barrett.
Gholston will get better and Lowery should be starting. He is a player and causes turnovers.
-
guys….our HC coached like a wuss on the opening drive of 2 of our worst losses of the season.
to not go for it 4th and 2 from the 36 on the opening drive against the 4-9 niners….and again 4th and inches on the $$@@ 2yd line against the 3-11 hawks,,,, those 2 decisions screamed a lack of faith in your own players / or a lack of guts in your own body.
remember…his explanation for the 49′ers call was to “play field position”. I BEG YOU….WHAT %$%@ 8-5 TEAM NEEDS TO THINK OF FIELD POSITION IN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES OF A GAME AGAINST A $$@!# 4-9 TEAM!!!
and yesterday…to say “i thought it would be a close game” as to why he took the 3….again is coaching like a gutless loser. i agree it probably was going to be a fairly close game b/c of the conditions…..BUT YOU HAD AVERAGED 6 YARDS A POP ON THAT DRIVE ON THE GROUND….IT WAS 4TH AND INCHES…IF YOU DONT GET IT THEY START AT THE 2 YD LINE!!!! IF ITS GONNA BE A CLOSE GAME HOW MUCH BIGGER WOULD IT BE TO GO UP 7-0 YOU LOSER!!!!!!!!!!
and how often do we have to see the opening drive first 2 drives look amazing….followed by the rest of the drives look like garbage…to realize that we have the worst offensive coordinator in the league.
nite nite to lil marty and old man sutton…..to not bring tons of pressure on a slick field against a backup offensive line is beyond pathetic….and mangini is just as responsible for that.
when do pitchers and catchers report…thank g-d i am a yankee fan =)
-
Tannenbaum should keep his job. Gholston is raw and a project. Dbrick shaped up, Pace, Jenkins, Faneca, and Richardson have been solid contributors. The Favre deal was a bad idea, and many of us felt that way, but it made sense for several reasons. Including Chad Pennington being an egg. This is only his 2nd season making 16 starts in his career.
-
Guys-
If this crew is back nothing will get better. We need an aggressive staff that knows how to coach at this level.
How about this-
Buffalo-Not bad, getting tougher and closer.
Miami-Bill has another year and another draft (lots of picks) OMG
New England-Belli (like it or not a great coach) and Brady is back.Tell me again how this staff is going get us in the playoffs. They played 2 or 3 good games and hung on or lost plenty. KC played as well overall and has awful talent.
-
OMG-in the midst of all this someone defended Brad Smith-He is useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What has he done -EVER. Hmmmm, there was that………………Nothing. -
These past 4 weeks have been one of the toughest stretches I’ve endured as a Jet fan, and I go back to Joe Willies’ last days here. I think Tannenbaum has done a good job drafting and bringing in talent, so the fault has to lie with the head coach. The OC and DC have done poor jobs, but hey have had their jobs for 3 years. These issues should have been worked out by now, so that is why it falls at Mangini’s feet. Do we give him a chance to replace his staff and see what happens? I’m not sure. His total lack of emotion compounds the problem. There is a lack of emotion with the whole team. I’m really not interested in starting the whole plan over. And I don’t think Woody is going to fire Mangini, yet. If there was a good 3-4 coach available, I would go for it. Who is that coach? Anyone have a good suggestion? I think Woody will let Mangini replace his two coordinators and give him 1 more year. I know we are still alive for the playoffs, but it sure feels like the season is over.
-
Mangini has to go. This team has 7 pro bowlers, the best return man and most exciting player in the nfl. the best runner in the AFC. A line of all number 1 picks. A legend at QB and the leading defensive MVP candidate after 11 weeks.
This team was listless, uninspired, ill prepared, had no game plan and worst of all, played without heart.
He’s gotta go. You just cant collapse like that and lose to teams with significantly less talent and keep the gig. It just doesnt work that way.
Listless, gutless and without spark. C’Ya.
-
klecko71,
You can also say he coached like a wuss in the OT in Oakland. Like he was waiting for the Raiders to hand it to him rather than going out and grabbing it.
-
My take is that Pennington’s sore shoulder has done well in the Florida air (Wouldn’t we all?), but that Favre has some undisclosed injury (like anyone past their 39th birthday). That explains his recent collapse, and that of the team. Judging by his hat, he may also stay up lating robbing liquor stores.
As for who is to blame for the collapse, as follows:
–For all that Tangenius preaches “football values,” the Jets are a surprisingly flat team, in terms of emotion and desire. Could that be that, like many managers, Mangini hires (drafts) players in his weirdly flat emotional image? Fix: hire a real football guy over Tannenbaum.
–The 3-4 may be a great scheme but our guys can’t play it, and never will. Or Mangenius can’t coach it or something. No pressure on the QB means losses. Fix: hire a real D co-ordinator.
–There is a disconnect, I fear, between the linebackers and the seconary that leads to some terrible schemes, all those completions underneath, and then some terrible tackling. Fix: Draft a real satety to play next to Rhodes.
–On the offense, Favre is Pennington without the game sense, and teams have responded by stacking the box, which killed the run, killed the pass, and killed the team. Mangenius should have switched gears and started Clemens in one of these recent games. Fix: say good-bye to Brett.
Biggest problem is this: if Clemens ain’t it, then we’re two years from having a real QB, in which case next year will be worse than this year. Fix: make Clemens “it”.
But I can’t stand the idea “starting over” with a new system, which will struggle for three years, and then get replaced. Fix: Have the new football guy hire two competent co-ordinators under Mangenius, and make it clear one will be the next coach, if Eric can’t deliver.
Burn down the new training facility, and hold practices on some divide of the Belt Parkway. (Good for public relations.)
-
this is ridiculous. cut LC? okay, and if leon fumbled yesterday I’d be calling for his head too. Let’s be logical.
-
Terrible, the coaching staff of this organization did two things, first what was expected lost the season, if Tangini want to keep their jobs; they need to do what is expected of them fire the coaching staff plural, the second thing they did which has never been done before was break Favre. Shame on them.
-
Just like the post says. Jets=Soft
-
When we look back on this season, this is the one stat that should be remember as to why we lost this division. The AFC East played both the AFC and NFC West divisions this season. Arguably the two worse divisions in football this season. The Jets went 3-5 against those two divisions, There 3 AFC East opponents:
NE 7-1
MIA 7-1
BUF 6-2Three games worse than anyone else in the division against those opponents. We go 6-2, we’re 12-3 and looking at a bye. That record speaks to coaching and preparation.
-
KD you are probably right….just didnt remember a “signature wuss call” to back it up…..although i am sure there was one =)
JETS111 summed it up very well. with the talent on this team…and an OC and DC in their 3rd years…. it really does fall on them. Leon again didnt get enough touches….and jones only getting 17 carries after a great opening drive is also quite mystifying
-
KD….i am a big fan of your posts. most of us are on the same page thats for sure.
i am holding out hope for a miracle next week….u know jauron will have his guys pumped for what is a playoff game for them…and its in buffalo.
but the jags are NOT beating the ravens in baltimore. that would take quite the effort from a team that played their “playoff game” thursday vs the colts and lost.
-
klecko71,
I just remember a lot of running plays in OT with no real attempt to throw downfield.
-
hell yea cut lc. the guy was a whining cry baby all year and doesnt make the big plays necasary to command the type of respect hes lookin for. bottom line the season was wasted because mangini is a coord at best and has two guys that will never have an nfl job again running his off and def. the guy never holds himself accountable or his staff for obvious horrible decisions. the solution is simple, im scalping my tickets until he is gone and making my money back for the psl. screw the jets like they screwed us. i cant stand his high school english teacher pressers anymore. the guy got way too much respect from most of you guys who run this site, he has no cred and made a name for himself by riding belichik’s coattails, good riddance fun boy
-
I am not even mad about the situation that we are currently in and frankly not surprised by it. For the past four weeks this joke of a team has showed absolutly no heart or guts. NO ONE should be surprised by this historic and abominable collapse.
I do blame the coaches and agree Shott and Sutton NEED to go….not sure about Mangini though. The inability of these coaches to focus on this team’s strenghts and inability to exploit the other team’s weaknesses is inexcusable. How many touches did Leon get? 3 carries no catches. How many catches did Keller have? 1 for 2 yards. This is absurd that these two players were not involved more in the offense.
Now Sutton, listen here please and listen well. Out of the five starting O-linemen starting for the Hawks on SUnday, how many started over 10 games in their career? 1…….Fred Womack. The others…..I don’t think they add up to 20. These are practice squad guys. BLITZ….BLITZ……and BLITZ some more. we hit Seneca 1 time people…..1 time. No sacks. Is that a joke Sutton? Do you WANT to get fired? Make a freakin adjustment for once in your life please. I am begining to think that you are not even doing your job…do you not realize from film that 3 and 4 man rushing are not working.
However, the fact remains that these players, getting paid millions of dollars to play a F*&#ING game, need to make some plays. Step up and play!!!!! No excuses no crying. You don’t like the fact that we kicked the field goal when it was 4th and 2…..then you know what….trying converting on 3rd down. This Seahawk team was dead last in the league in pass D and look what they did to us. Yea it was snowing….but did you see what Matt Cassel did in the snow???
To the Jets organization: This team is pathetic…and the way the way they have performed down the stretch, during its “soft” part of the scheduel, is hard to fathom. And you want us to pay these absurd PSLs???!!! You know what….you owe us…the fans…that couldn’t sleep last night because of the way this team has been playing. You owe us for investing our time, energy and hard earned money in this disgrace of a product.
Oh yea…where is Kerry??
-
SSSHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! You hear that?? THE DOLPHINS ARE COMING!!!!!!!!!!!
-
KD…yeah the OT was weak. but remember we had ran for 200 in that game,….
what proved our OC needs a lesson in “feel for a game” was the lack of play action into this offense.
too many 2nd and 5 shotguns….quite lame…all season.
and the fact that we were worried he would leave us after his first year for a HC job with miami?? (that went to cam cameron) is now quite laughable.
football….more then any other sport…..as much as the players have to make plays….relies HEAVILY on coaching, and coaches putting players in position to make plays. both of our coordinators suck at it…. and our head coach’s personality rubbed off on the team…the wrong way.
rarely agree with fat-cessa….but todays open on FAN…he said it should come down to the game vs miami. if we show up and play hard and win i am cool with him staying……but if we get beat at home in that kind of game with a chance to make the playoffs….he should be peaced. either way we need a new OC and DC next year of course.
-
We dont need to cut lc. Hes fine and at least he has heart. Get the Ryan Brothers Down Here FASt!!!!!
-
biebs – I don’t think I explained the Pennington comment very well. I think you are right – with the Jets Pennington looked washed out, he looked like a “game manager” (not sure why thats such a negative – isn’t that the QB’s job?), but at the Dolphins, he’s a game winner. Same guy, different coaching staff, different results. And its not like you could say “oh, yeah, well now he’s got Moss/Fitzgerald to throw to, and upgraded offensive line led by an all-pro”. He stepped into a 1-15 team, took some time to get used to the system and has taken off. The Dolphins are on a 9-1 roll right now. Now, I personally think the moment will overtake him on Sunday and he won’t get the job done for the Dolphins, but IF he does come to the Meadowlands, and IF he plays a big part in winning the AFC East – man, there will be a day of reckoning in NY.
-
Its simple…….if by some chance New England falls to Buffalo (which I think is more likely to happen than Jacksonville beating Baltimore) Mangini and his coaching staff better win Sunday. If they fail to capitalize on that opportunity, him and his staff gotta go.
-
Is the glass half empty or half full?
On the positive side, the Jets more than doubled their win totals from last year. They have a foundation for more improvement next year.
But, on the negative side, we are seeing an amazing waste of talent through lousy coaching. Remember, this is the team that scored over 60 points against Arizona. They led the NFL in touchdowns. They gave Tennessee its first loss. They had one of the leading rushers in the Conference. Favre had the highest quarterback rating in his career. They were on the way to leading the league in pick 6s. They had it in the bag to get to the playoffs for the first time in years.
So, what has happened?
First, the Defense – They haven’t had any kind of pass rush in the last several games. They are making mediocre quarterbacks look like pro-bowlers. Their front line used to give quarterbacks nightmares. Now, they are giving them hope to be on sportscenter highlights!
Their secondary seems like the most important thing is just not giving up the home run ball, no matter how many completions they allow.
The whole defense is acting like the ball carriers have leprosy in the way they are tackling ( or should I say, not tackling)!
The Offense – Their receivers run lack luster routes and have little ability to improvise routes to get open. They have dropped more balls than the lotto machine!
Favre has begun to try to do too much again and the interceptions are piling up. He is being locked into an amateur offensive scheme that would make Joe Montana look like Jack Kemp!!
Jones has been the only consistent bright spot for this team. But, even he could have more yardage if he was used more efficiently.
Sunday was just the latest in a gutless coaching effort. Let’s not go for it on 4th and 2 early on. (Reminds me of the loss to NE earlier when they failed to score from 1st and goal because of run, run, run on 3 downs). Later, let’s not put points on the board after the kicker just nailed it from 45 yards (it would have carried at least 55 on that kick).
So, what has to happen?
Coaching, coaching, coaching!!
Favre has a couple good years left. He needs to be turned loose to do what he does best – throw the ball fearlessly.
The receiver corps could set new Jets records if motivated and trained to play “pro” football.
The “stupid” penalties could vanish quickly for everyone.
The defense could return to giving nightmares to the opposition with a little more intensity and some creativity by the DC. Can you say “blitz”??
Special teams could give the offense a TD/game again. They were doing this earlier when they were turned loose.
It all hinges on getting coaches who have reached “NFL puberty.” This league is no place for angst and insecurity.
Please, Jets ownership – get coaching personnel that are worthy of the budget you have spent for the “horses” you have in your stable. Professional athletes respond to being pushed by those they respect. We need Vince Lombardi, not Alan Alda!!!!
-
personally, though i think mangini has not done a very good job this year, i would like to see how he coaches with a better OC and DC. but trust me, he WILL NOT be fired. sutton should, and schotty should. i like callohan to be premoted to OC… the raiders offense that years was pretty good if i remember correctly, and get the LB coach (forgot his name) from the steelers. get a better DL coach too.
-
I hope Mangini is fired this week and they made Favre walk home. Both of them need to go.
DO SOMETHING and don’t sit on your butts management.. your team is the laughing stock of limp gimp mcghee Chad Pennington!!!!!
-
I think the JETS defense is made out of paper. For god sake, please hit somebody, live up to the NAME(Jets). Mangini, start acting like you are a football coach! The coaching staff with exception of special team coach, they should all go to UFC and train for 2 months. I think Lions are better than JETS because they are consistent at something.
-
klecko71 and jets111 nailed it…
mangini turned into the worst of herm.. playing not to lose… he coached scared yesterday… it makes sense to kick FG on 4th and less than 1 yard …. all the announcers who tried to defend it should be fired too… it makes zero sense.. the ‘hawks would have started on their 2 yard line. period.
and then not letting the guy punt… as the sny guys pointed out.. this isn’t high school football.. this is why you have real kickers.
i hate rooting for this team because of the consistent and complete ineptitude and the fact that yet again, under woody johnson, we are going to keep around an incompetent coach and replace his cooordinators and get ourselves nowhere.
-
Teams mimic their coaches. This team is soft and so is the coach. It’s that simple. Football is played with emotion. Look at Ray Lewis and how he gets the teams in a frenzy before the game. Then watch the Ravens and bust heads.
Can anyone ever imagine Eric Mangini giving a halftime speech to rally the troops? Oh yeah I have an excerpt from one: ‘Boys lets make sure we play within ourselves and carry ourt our responsibilities and assignments’.
Can anyone name another coach who would allow this defense to keep playing the way they are playing. NO PRESSURE ON THE QB. Mangini’s answer, just more of the same.
The Jets were lucky they won the second game against the Pats. Another minute and they go down. They were lucky they won the Bills game last week. Being a true Jets fan I pray the get destroyed this weekend so we can get rid of this guy and start over. If you think that is not being a true Jets fan my answer is this; Jets Ravens round 1 of the playoffs. What do you think the score would be? It is frightening.
I rest my case.

Romeo Crennell? God in heaven no! He’s a black Eric Mangini!
