Jets Game Moves to 4:15
Posted on December 22nd, 2008 by Bassett
The NFL has officially changed the Jets Dolphins gametime to 4:15. If you are looking to buy or sell (I don’t blame you) check out our friends at TicketCity.com. So here’s how things will play out:
- If the Bills (7-8) beat the Patriots (a 1:00 game), then the Jets need to win their game to win the AFC East.
- If the Patriots win, then the Jets need to win their game and Baltimore (10-5) needs to lose their game to the Jaguars (5-8) and who play at 4PM as well.

Does not look good. Ravens feeling good after the big W in Dallas and the Bills haven’t showed any signs of life (especially against this division, 0-5) in a while.
Anything can happen, but after Sunday I’m assuming the worst.
Honestly, who even wants to watch this team play another week?
Backing into the playoffs is pathetic.
I’ll take the playoffs if they’re able to back in.
But if and when they lose this Sunday, or win but the Pats also win and the other scenario doesn’t play itself out for the JETS, I won’t be that upset.
I’m a Mets fan as well, and they disgust me almost as much as this year’s JETS team, and my thoughts were “F#*& them, they don’t deserve it anyway!”
This team is running on fumes. Could it get up for the MIami game and win . . . sure. Add in a little luck and we might just make the playoffs. Does this team have any shot of making a long run in January . . . absolutely not. This team does not have the mental toughness or the coaching to make any noise, even if it should make the playoffs.
Also, I am not a Favre basher, far from it. But as a simple observation, he is old and by the end of the season is worn down and the cold weather makes him look 50. It was the same story in the playoff game against the Giants last year.
Unfortunately I think the jets chances of getting to the playoffs are pretty good, 50/50 at worst. I agree with everyone else who doesnt even want to watch this team, but whatever its not like they are getting a high draft pick – might as well go for the playoffs.
I think we all know how this is going to play out. If New England wins at 1pm the Ravens will win and so will the Jets. If New England or Baltimore lose the Jets will of course then lose. I will always have some hope but after watching such pitiful efforts in the past month I have almost no hope left for this team, another disappointment from the New York Jets. I finally lost any faith I had in Mangini this year when he failed to take control or show any emotion. He has to go for this team to be successful in the near future. Tannenbaum will fire him or convince Johnson he needs to go because if he doesn’t that will be his ass on the line. Goodbye to the inappropriately named “Mangenius”
Hey Row, I don’t know if you watched any games yesterday, but the Bills didnt look that bad ruining the Broncos chance of making the playoffs.
if we make the playoffs we have to ship green bay a 2nd rounder for our “hall of fame” quarterback
They moved the game to 4? They obviously don’t want us to win 0-5 at 4 o’ clock. Wish I slept through this year. Go Jets
the ravens game is moved to 4 as well.
we will not know our fate. this is not good
Once again the NFL shafting ticket holders to the game. it’s going to be freezing inside the stadium by 6p.
Oh, boy! 4 o’clock. Well, we’re totally screwed now.
$*&@# flexible scheduling!

Apparently you didn’t see the Bills go into Denver and beat the Broncos yesterday? Add to that the fact that nobody in the division likes the Patriots, and the Bills probably not wanting to go 0-6 in the division, and I’m not totally giving up hope yet. They probably wouldn’t do much in the playoffs, but you never know. Remember that the ‘04 Jets backed into the playoffs and were inches from the AFC Championship.

Get real. Baltimore is not losing to Jacksonville at home. Our only hope is to have the Pats lose, and we’ll know by kickoff whether that happened.
I always try to have some faith when it comes to the Jets, but I really don’t think that New England or Baltimore will lose. Is there anyone who thinks that we will win and baltimore or New England will lose?
Jax is well-rested after a Thursday night game where they almost upset the Colts. They seem to be playing for pride, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they give the Ravens a good game.
I don’t think Baltimore will lose. I think there’s a decent chance that New England will lose. If I had to put percentages on chance of losing, I’d say..
Baltimore: 10%
New England: 33%
It is great that the Jets will get that extra emotional lift when they find out the Pats have lost, if that happens. I hope Mangini at the same time gets that extra emotional shock and sheds his constipated coaching style. The players, to be fair, have even more of an uphill battle playing for a coach who is a moron when it comes to game situations.
To Liam, Brett Favre was brilliant on two pass plays in the fourth quarter (one an almost reception), but it was not nearly enough. So he is old only in the sense that he cannot sustain the energy better throughout the game. No one is bashing him, we are just saddened at the (understandable) decline. He cannot do the heroic the way he once could and will the team to victory.
I forgot to say that I am counting on the Bills to be buoyed by their win over Denver toward a sudden season-climaxing resurgence. It is not at all inconceivable that New England will lose, even though the odds are for them to win.
