Seriously? Our line and recievers aren't good?
I'm just going to have to disagree without even going into it.
We're doing pretty good in both those areas though.
To say otherwise is the same mentality that got Chad run out of town.
I moved here about a year ago, as a lifelong fan I was very excited to see Jets at hoffstra in the summer.

One thing I noticed is that there was a stigma about Jets fans. I would hear things like "typical Jets fan" and things like that when I heard someone say something stupid or cheer their injured QB off the field.

Let's not propigate that stigma please, let's appreciate what we got. Let's learn from kicking CP to the curb.
To illustrate my point: is there anyone here that thinks that CP would be in Miami if he had the support from Jets fans that Favre did from GB fans? NO, he wouldn't.

Our line is elite, our recievers are very good, perhaps we could use a speed guy, maybe clowney is it.

Look guys, I know there's some things that I could have done better, some throws I would like to have back and what have you.
I think what's important here though is that I had fun, we all did. It's not just about winning.
I think it's important to understand three things:
1) We had fun.
2)We sold tickets.
3)I had another pro bowl year, and brought six others with me.

That guy down there in Miami might have won a few more games, but I'll bet he put a lot of pressure on himself, and I'll bet he didn't have as much fun as I had. I don't mean to compare myself to anyone, but I am going to Honolulu, and I did get six other of us there.
Now, I know I still have a few good years in me, and I'm a champion. Champions get back in the pocket and throw another pass. They don't take a sack or throw the ball away just cause a reciever might be covered. These guys are pros, you gotta give them a chance to go up and fight the defenders for the ball.

Look, I already spoke to woody and I'll be back next year. He's promised to get me a fast reciever that can really open the field up long. We'll be a really exciting team and I'm already looking forward to it.

Feltman got it right about Shotty's system. If only Hank/Fonzie could read they might learn something.

Good point feitman.

I'm not sure on the figures, but we had way too many sacks allowed as well. The O-Line needs to get upgraded, we need them to allow our QB the time to make a good decision.

Wide receivers also are subpar. Jericho can't catch-ery, and Coles are not creating any separation, and in some cases they're not completing their routes.

Plus horrible coaching and play calling, not utilizing Jones and Washington, was a major failure.

All have contributed to the INT's of the last 3 years.

As a 30 YO lifelong fan I have stuck with this team through good and bad....and worst.
I have never wated to see them get beat prior to this weekend. I'm very glad CP got to have his day, it's been a real Cinderella story.

It's scary to hear Woody, or fans give any credit to Favre or to welcome him back next year.
This thing has blown up in our faces, we're truely something to be laughed at right now, the only way to move forward is to find a new QB. Personally I like Ratliff.
Any QB this year would have been better than Favre. It's not like we didn't know he was the all time INT leader, it's not like we didn't know he was 39. We got exactly what we asked for, exactly what we deserved. And if we're stupid enough to ask for it for another year then we deserve it.
Can someone go ahead and add some Favre/Chad clips to the end of that draft blunders video please?

You gotta fire schotenheimer. Qbs just don't flourish in his system. Last year Pennington and Clemens threw for a combinedd 19 picks--just three below favres total for this year. Pennington even threw for 16 picks on '06, with a touchdown to interception difference of +1. That's averaged to 19 picks over the past 3 seasons--There's something wrong with that.

I gotta say, having been at the game (first time, w00ts), Favre looked pretty terrible. Two of the three ints were so bad I was screaming while he was still in the windup. And his accuracy seemed off - even completions seemed not quite right.

I think Matt Cassel's success in NE (albeit with a great supporting cast) shows the importance of consistency (on the coaching side) and coachability (from the player). With Favre here and Mangini gone we have neither.

Oh yeah and they still had Tommy Maddox, and I think it's a pretty close comparison between Maddox then and Chad now
