PS. I have been posting all season the reasons why I felt this move was a bad fit but I’ve been discarded as a Farve hater and Pennington/Dolphins fan.
But, you know what, I’m not surprised, desillusioned or crushed by this debacle. It hurt when the Jets went down, because I’ve been a fan since before Joe Willy and the great promise this team had in July…… after the greatest off season this team EVER had.
My consolation is that I can still root for Pennington and I loved it when Chad stuck it deep up woodypeckers butt. I hope he loses Million$$$$$.

You are riight, farve has some great attributes and toughness is one of them, however I felt from the start that he would not fit Mangini’s regime. He was too big, too carefree, too unscripted and it ultimately got him fired.
Woodypecker needed to win NOW and the offense never got in synch, well maybe two games,

I guarantee you that the owner will do anything to get Farve back next year if only for PR and marketing reasons.I do not think we will go far in the win column with him because teams know he can’t beat them deep consistently anymore. Also, I’m not to sure about team chemistry will work out even with a new Manager.
I felt all along that we will lose about two years with Brett farve.

I can’t think of a tougher QB than Favre?

Remember Sapp going after Favre, and Favre bounced back up as Sapp is struggling to get his fat ass up?

Just this year, Favre and Hayensworth go down, Hayensworth stays down.

Yeah he sucked this year, but you can’t deny the guy is tough.

Favre could possibly be done, but might have 1 or max 2 years left so when you state that when the streak ends you have to assume the guy is banged up pretty good, and it would make sense that it would be his last year since I’d put the odds (assuming he plays next year) at 80% chance one more year and 20% chance 2 more years.

In short, you didn’t really go out on a limb on that projection.

Toughness?? Have you ever taken continuos dosage of Vicodin, Oxicontin or Darvon?
They can saw off your arm and you wont feel it. The minute that streak is stopped he will retire that season.

It takes a lot of toughness to accomplish what Favre has with the consecutive games streak. He’s #1 all time in a lot of categories, but I would have to agree that this is one record that may never be surpassed.

Nothing before the team. The most important thing is winning (superbowl would be the obvious result of winning)

Take a deap breath, I don’t want the Favre issue to give you aneurism

If that happens than the Jets will secure a reputation of chewing up and spitting out QB’s, not the best image you want to have.

But I’m sure Ainge will be the next johnny unitas.
